I like the devil from the Piers Anthony series The Incarnations of Immortality. Once you read the book centered around him he's and incredibly compelling character and my favorite in the whole series. Also the devil in The Pick of Destiny because David Grohl is the fucking man.

I agree that you can't definitivly say the greatest song ever because of how different the genres are but a few songs that are among the greatest would have to be Stairway to Heaven, Freebird, Hey Jude, Werewolves of London, Aqualung, The Tide, and Jukebox Hero (just for a small selection :P)
