One of the most underrated bands. I love that they're epic without being fantasy/mythology themed (not that I dislike those themes, I'm just saying it's refreshing). The vocals are a mix of clean and harsh, with a bit of Sean Connery "sh" thrown in. Seriously.

The Legend of Korra has much more flaws compared to Avatar, but for some reason I found it almost equally enjoyable to watch. It's definitely not a cash-in and you should check it out.
I love Legend of Dragoon. It's one of my all time favorite games. What's weird though is that what I remember most is the hilariously terrible voice acting during cutscenes.
Because they're the only typical fantasy heroes (at least Ned, Robb and Jon are) in a non-typical fantasy setting. They're easy to like quickly and guide you into the world.
It's "realistic" in the sense that it's largely inspired by actual history. For example the conflict between the Starks and the Lannisters is inspired by the Wars of the Roses between the Yorks and the Lancasters.
There's plenty of quirk, wonder and happiness but also a lot of the opposite...

My personal recommendation is Sheep, Dog 'n' Wolf (AKA Sheep Raider). Originally on the PS, but has been re-released on the PC. It's possibly my most favorite game ever.
