As some of you may be aware, this Christmas isn't going entirely to plan for me. My girlfriend is bringing the baby i don't want to term among other things, so to cheer myself up i was trying to think about previous festive periods that were even worse. This is the story of my worst one.
My...
Not really.
It is difficult to relate to some protagonists but for reasons a little more substantial than surface appearance (though in some cases, these can be partially a result of race; i found it difficult to relate to CJ in GTA San Andreas).
When given the option i play as a white...
This isn't the GoldenEye that you played on the Nintendo 64... you may say that it's just Call of Duty with a 007 makeover, but it's clear from the released footage that BF3 has made a concerted effort to be more like Call of Duty, as far as the single player goes.
They did escape you if you consider him to be like "every other action hero".
I and the other purists appreciate the direction the series has taken. While the flamboyance and gadgetry was fun, Die Another Day was just ridiculous and the series needed a reboot to stay relevant.

I rather enjoyed the boss battles. The combat itself wasn't exceptional, but the setting of each fight was really cool.
The Jaron encounter was awesomely nightmarish. My one criticism is that the proceeding cut-scenes were not all that interesting.

Tomorrow Never Dies was his best Bond film, though GoldenEye and The World Is Not Enough were both very good. Die Another Day started strongly (the Hovercraft chase made for one the best opening sequences) but most of what came after wasn't great.
The story does need modernising not only to...
So... what... it should feature a female Shepard and risk alienating the 60 percent of the fanbase that prefers him?
Some of the most self entitled gamers i've had the displeasure of dealing with are ardent femshep fans.
I'm a James Bond fan first and foremost. That's why i'm excited for this and not "Timesplitters", whatever that is.
I realise that i'm in the minority, but i think that James Bond games have been getting progressively better and more 007-like.
It's not "nostalgia" for me. I like that Bond games have been getting more Bond-like over the last 15 year or so.
Also, as a Bond fan, i really enjoyed the way in which Flemming's Casino Royale was modernised for the 2006 film (well, aside from replacing baccarat with Texas Hold Em). I'm...
