The ending makes sense, people just simply weren't happy with their character dying.
Though I do agree that the endings cutscene could have been more detailed in regards to the other characters' fates, it was overall a very good ending.

I agree with the OP. It's pretty much what I said from the start (though not as in-depth analyzed). Already by the end of ME1 did I get the feeling that things would play out the way they did.
Actually, there is no "Light Side". There is a Dark Side, and there's the Force. The Dark Side is an anomily, a fault in the Force; basically, it shouldn't exist. What we define as the Light Side is actually the Force as it is supposed to be.

Well, I don't usually give my characters funny names, but whenever I play Left 4 Dead or other such games, I use the name "a meatbag". I like to think that "You were killed by a meatbag" adds a bit of insult to injury.
