Maybe, just maybe the negative countdown means they are starting to countdown towards rapture. As in the bible quote from "Daniel 12, 1-13" says that we will receive rapture in 1335 days or 3 years and 7 days from 9/8/10. Maybe that's what the negative countdown means, and maybe it is saying...
