I'm sure under normal circumstances, Gunny would do just fine in the vacuum of space. It's just that now, his armor is somewhat...compromised.
I dunno, the legend that is Gunny may indeed find a way to grip the proverbial throat of the Void and engage in a death-grip war of will, ironclad by his uncompromised Plot Armor despite his regular armor being compromised.
Discharged... like a giant green poop into space... That'd look pretty hilarious from the proper distance
