The #1 Game ending that pissed me off was Halo 2's ending. It was so terrible i just stoped buying the franchise. I Actually liked the game play of Halo 2 and Halo 3 but it was the ending that reminded me on how bad the series was. I might buy ODST because i want to play with my friends and i don't buy many games either. all of my achievements are mostly from Games that i borrowed from my friends ^_^. Well what are your thoughts?

Wait, the OP stopped buying Halo games after Halo 2 and still bought Halo 3? I'm confused.

Honestly, I haven't beaten it yet, but my buddy Nick showed me the ending to the new Bionic Commando game, and I gotta say that it kinda blew.

The Conduit. Not a particularly great game, but it ends when you're about to go fight the last boss. What a retarded way to say "hey we're gonna make a sequel guyzzz"

Fallout 3. Some really logical reasons were blocked out with the "you must furfill your destiny." Very disappointing after such a great game. Plus you were helped by an invincible ally so you barely get to kill anything and the last boss is equivilant to the fable 2 last "boss."

Hmm.... I'd say MGS 4's. Why? Because after handling more or less all of the essential loose ends (and a few non essentials) they decide to remind you that there's still more to come. What? Without Snake? Fuck you.

I enjoyed the ending, and I don't see why people are complaining. Sure, there's a lot of buildup for a climax involving very little actual conflict, since your invincible ally handles it all for you, but to actually end the story, it was well handled, and gave a good sense of accomplishment.

Or maybe it's just post-game hype, since I finished it an hour ago. Maybe I'll get all grumpy about it in a day or two, like everyone else is.

As for bad endings, I'd say Bioshock. Sure, it finished it all wonderfully, but it was so short and left at least a few loose ends open.

technically no... i didn't give away any specifics. Just know that i was most dishearntened after learning of the upcoming game Metal Gear: Rising starring Raiden. This is bs. Metal Gear was and always has been the story of snake and hideo kojima, taking away both those things is surely a recipe for disaster. Or, at the very least, a game that doesn't feel "right" by MGS standards.

[Hideo Kojima fanboy warning! You are dealing with an MGS fanboy!]

I think it's just fine that the series can continue without its flagship character. In my eyes, it's only a testament to how versatile Hideo's writing is. Even though Raiden's a hated character, I think the upcoming prequel will finally tie up all the loose ends (no, not all of them have been addressed yet) in his plotline.

[End fanboy warning]

OT: The ending to Call of Duty 4 made me laugh. Not because of the touching death of some of the lead characters, nor because of the traumatic struggle depicted, but because Griggs raps over the end credits. Seriously? "Deep and Hard"?

For Fallout 3, a large segment is, we're talking about a franchise that has been built around personal choice. To end a game on rails like that, especially when other options are available is, quite frankly, insulting to the player. Or at least, it was to me.

Though, I'll agree that Bioshock's ending was too short, and left too many loose ends. Well, the good ending did. I never got the evil one, but, I've seen the video. They're both pretty bad.

Well, that's great, but without Hideo writing it, the series will lose it's touch at least thematically.

Firstly, fix your tags.

Secondly, Hideo Kojima isn't behind "Metal Gear: Rising"? Why?!

It makes me laugh that nostalgia ruined this game for so many people. If the game was called ANYTHING ELSE, it would have just been a Fallout ripoff, and no one would have minded how drastically different it is from the original two. Personally, I hadn't even heard of the first two(and tactics, I s'ppose, so three) until Fallout 3 was released. I played them, though, and because of all the praise I expected a lot. It fell on its face, though. I really don't see what you guys are seeing in those games other than nostalgia.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all about nostalgia and remembering the past. Hell, I'm a walking Pokemon encyclopedia, but don't look at the past, just play the game you've got right now, and respect it for what it is.

Because he's working on Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

Gears of war 1, not the boss but the idea of that train.
Right lets think about it, a train with a bomb is going to go down a hole which is what the COGs want, yet they are put on the train. General Raam is riding the train, so what is he trying to do?

Patapon:

"We've finally reached Earthend, rejoice!"
Then they watch a stupid sunrise/sundown (I forgot already), notice that they're not filled with the joy they were expecting from the magical Earthend, conclude that it's NOT Earthend, and then just say "okay, let's build a boat and sail a bit further".

That's it. You just wasted 10-15 hours pressing the same buttons, killing and destroying everything in your path on some kind of stupid jihad, and all. for. NOTHING. The boat fucking crashes in a storm at the start of the second game anyway, and if you have an old savegame from the first game, you can import a bunch of your resources (which only lets you upgrade the weaker patapons only anyway), but that's all, and nothing more.

DAAAAAAAAAYUM
