It's called an Escapist Circle Jerk. They happen a lot in threads that drift off their original intention.

Yes, but a lot of folks don't like to wait. They want to be Gonzo as soon as possible, and in their race to get posts, they screw up bad and get permabanned (yes, I'm talking about superpandaman)

That's pretty much how I did it... that and I developed an addiction to this site...and my job got boring at about the same time...oh god...why can't I stop.

Yeah, that's pretty much what happened to me. My classes got unbearably boring, and I hit the summer game slump, so I started posting more. And more. And now I can't STOP!

I don't think that post count really matters. Ive been demeaned for have under 100 posts, but still contribute to the escapist with good ideas. Judge not by post count but the what the post says.

It's a style of journalism in which the reporter is a part of the story. Like, if it's a story about wine making, the reporter would be helping to make the wine.

Considering The Escapist is not the only forum site (although it is the best, in my opinion) it'd be best let everyone have a say, because some of us go to different forum sites.
