Or RPs. Reasonable Doubt went gonzo within a week playing games and RPs.

Oh, yeah, another great way to increase your post count is to troll.

I don't think he hates gonzos. I think he hates people that think having a higher post count means you're a more valued member of the community. Every forum is plagued with these creatures, and the only real solution I can think of is getting rid of post counts. That way people will be measured by the quality of their posts, not the quantity.

Yeah, it really hurt me to have to break it, but I felt like that had to be said. Oh, and thank you for the compliment.

Any idiot can make a thousand posts, but expressing a thousand meaningful thoughts? It may take longer but the respect and admiration of quite possibly dozens of other people is worth it.
Yeah, I mean i could sit here and reply to every post on the forum and just refresh the page every ten minutes and repeat, but then your just badgering and being annoying. Unless a purposeful post is well... posted. then why bother.

And yeah if you have 1000+ posts thats one thing, but you think that in that "elite club" theyll give you recognition for a thousand pointless posts. i think not.

I don't really care about post count, either. I've seen geniuses with one hundred or so posts, and absolute morons with 500+ post counts... Although it does seem in general that the dumb people have fewer posts, probably because they can't think of anything to say. I know I've been posting a lot less in the last few days, the main reason being that I'm seeing a lot of the same topics over and over (and topics that need to die being resurrected.)

Im sorry i shouldve added this in.

Im not saying i agree with the post count persay. but if its there its there.

There are lots of intelligent people with low post counts, but i guess this is one of those things where patience is a virtue.

Plus your goal here shouldnt be to go gonzo it should be to increase your knowledge and spread your own, while belonging to a community of people who share the same interests as you.

By the way im not picking a fight i was just saying.

Though I do indeed see the slight sarcasm used here, it still doesn't change the fact that he has somehow garnered over 600 posts in 2 months. I hope it was forum games, because otherwise it would destroy the validity of the joke.

Badges and post counts do not really matter at all. Sure it means you spend more time on forums then other people but if you respect people just for their post count and amount of badges then you are quite the fool. Badge whores are ruining the forums by constantly remaking different threads that have no real point.

I understand that this is satire, but is this some sort of epidemic that I wasn't aware of? I always thought that a lot of the people that just post things like "Search the forums next time!" do that because they're nitpickers or have OCD or are in some other way insane. But maybe the OP is on to something.

Since Indigo Dingo has the highest active post count. I have theory that praising sony and pc gaming can raise your post count to a ridiculously high number.

My bet is on a bit of both.

I hate seeing people that just joined on December 20th with over 500 posts. It really irks me, because you look at their posts and realize they've been getting away with posting one-liners and unsubstantial arguments. But, post count doesn't matter anyways, it is the forums fault for giving people titles based on their posts. Some people just see it as a challenge, thinking people will respect them more because of it.

I only post on topics that I have something to say about. I refuse to make up some meaningless crap just to get another post.

+1 by the way
