I have to get the wooden gladius in one of the arenas with people fucking my shit up near and far, heavy attacks, quick attacks and ranged. It just gets too frustrating. And it being CapCom there's no opportunity to cheat so you can atleast see the story out.

Red Dead: Redemption, i probably think it's better now then i will in 2 years but imo it's the third best game that i've ever played behind only Zeld: OoT and Bioshock. Oh and of course Halo and COD: MW.
And how has no one said Dragon Age yet, that was a great one and i spent almost as much time on that as i did on oblivion.
Same goes for fable, both 1 and 2.
Fifa 10 based on the fact that it's the best soccer game ever made along with the most recent madden and nhl games.

Edit: How the hell did i forget Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, has to be in the top 10 ever, i loved that game almost as much as Yhatzee.

Counter-Strike?

For RTS, I say Company of Heroes. For me, it blows SC/WC out of the water.
You are so awesome it's not even funny... your avatar, your taste in games... Personally I prefer Dawn of War over Company of Heroes, but maybe that's just because I like to hear "SPESS MAHRINES!!!" yelled out every time I click a squad.
I never got to play DoW but if its anything like CoH, I'm sure it'll be good.

Also, are you telling me there's someone else who has heard of Rainbow?

Nearly every other game I'd mention has already been said, so I'll say:
Mount & Blade: Warband

Spyro: Year of the Dragon for PS1. Seriously, that game is an (To my knowledge) under appreciated gem. Or Munch's Oddyssee. That game is phenomenal.

The Sly Cooper Trilogy

Every game has a fun, creatively original story, great characters, and game play that's a bit repetitive but always fun and you want to do. It's like WoW, grindy, but fun.

Aquaria. An indie game.

Go check it out. It's that good.
whats it about
It's a Metroidvania type game set in an original underwater setting. It features lush 2D graphics, smooth swimming controls, and a great setting.

Here's a link to the trailer:

I don't know how to embed, sorry.
