Red dead redemption. Cougars. You'll just be walkin' down the trail or skinning a dear when... BAM!!! Cougar just insta-killed your horse. Oh fuck! Kill it!! BAM!!! It hit you just as you recovered. You're knocked down. Then about half way through getting up... BAM!!! Oh, you're dead? Insta-killed with no provocation or any chance to retaliate... That's realistic I suppose... Oh wait I forgot you can somehow take half a dozen to the chest and still be alive, but a couple a slashes from a cougar is death? That's what I like to call inconsistency.

Too many hilarious/cool/bizarre/all of the above deaths in all the GTA games to list all of them, but my favorite has to be in GTA:VC, I got 6 stars, was in a (stolen) cop car because the 3 previous cars I was in were blown up, I was on the long road on the second island closest to the middle water, going towards downtown, I see a way I can escape all the tanks and cars trying to hit me, the stairs that you can jump off on to the roof of the gun shop, so I aim there and at the base of the stairs an FBI SUV (Ranchero?) comes out of nowhere and rams me, causing me to spin out of control up the stairs and land on the street. At this point I'm like "Oh, I'll just drive off." Apparently a Tank was behind us and all of a sudden lands on top of me, exploding me instantly.

in the 1st PC Aliens vs predator, watching a facehugger fall down a hole. then casually leering into the hole to shoot it, only to fall in and instantly panic and shoot everything in sight. at which poin the facehugger attaches itself to my face and i scream like a *****.

not my favorite way to die, but definately the most memorable.
