eh i would check out gameplay videos and stuff, i know some people who adore them but honestly i find at least one from each of the "series" boring as fuck, i hate ghost recon with a passion, splinter cell was alright, and rainbow six vegas was a meh also, they just weren't my kind of games, especially ghost recon, i was so fucking pissed off when i received it as my only birthday present and i ended up despising that game with a passion (yes i appreciate the gift and some people don't even get one, i do appreciate gifts/my family like a ************ but when its a game that you hate? it's so hard to appreciate it.)

At least try a demo for one or two to see if you like that kind of game! Even if you're getting them at bargain prices, if you find out you hate those types of games, it would be $43 wasted.
I just decided to get them. Even if they're not good, it's only 43 bucks lost, and I HIGHLY doubt that I won't like a single game in that list considering they were all high budget titles in their day.

Nah. Wait for a major sale. You can get a much more diversified group of games for the same price.
You don't consider 13 games for the price of 3 a major sale? Agree with diversity though. With these bundles you're basicly getting three long different, yet similar, shooter games.

Well, I did look at them on sites, but it takes a LONG time to pull up 13 reviews and watch like 13 5-10 minute videos. I mean, this is a gaming forum, I didn't think that it would be a terrible idea to ask for some quick opinions.
It's not a terrible idea, but more often than not users ignore the idea of research or Google'n their answers, so naturally it's something I point out.

Steam has just been mounting a relentless assault on my wallet lately btw. Between Ubisoft Week, the Daily Deal, and Weekend Deals, I'm going to be broke by the end of summer...
Yeah, here I am trying to save money and they introduce daily sales on top of their already amazing(ly bad?) weekly and weekend sales.

Hope you enjoy the games.

The only one I ordered was Rainbow Six 3. I haven't played it yet, but Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is one of my favorite shooters, easily my favorite to play co-op. But I already own it so just stuck with purchasing 3.
Tee hee hee, oh boy are you in for a surprise.
Figure it might suck but it's only $8 and chances are I will never even get around to playing it. Already have like twenty Steam games I've yet to touch, including Assassins Creed 2 which definitely takes precedence! Also got NighSky for $5 with this purchase and I have a feeling I will play it more regardless. :)
No, you have me all wrong, it is the best Rainbow Six game ever made, possibly the best Tactical Shooter of all time. It can be a brutal game though, one shot, one kill.

By "major sale", I meant a sale where more games are on sale. This is a major sale in the sense of the price, but they're all very similar (ie all Tom Clancy)

Both encouraging because I do respect your opinion and you do make it sound like what I do want from it, but also discouraging because God do I suck at shooters! Hope there's a casual mode to begin with!

Pre-Vegas Rainbow Six titles are closer to sims than they are to shooters, and they're the best counterterrorism warfare sims I've seen available. For more general ground warfare simulation they're not up to the level of, say for example, ArmA II.

I paid 60 bucks each for a lot of those games. That was all 5-10 years ago though.

Great games, but they are dated. The multiplayer community is basically dead for all those games too.

Ghost Recon and R6 are both top quality franchises. I never cared for splinter cell, too sneaky for me. Still really well done though.

In the end, if you think you will play through them go for it.

I got the gothic bundle a while ago, 5 games for 12 dollars. Ended up never beating any of them although I did get 15 hours into 4 before quitting. Point is quantity =! quality.

Playing a pre-Vegas R6 game as a shooter is asking for frustration. Play it as a tactical simulator and you'll come to grips with it much easier... to the point where if you get really good as pre-mission planning and squad control you can play through most campaigns without personally firing a weapon.
