I was spending my time playing a playstation one.
I was watching my classmates protest some stupid law that the State passed targeting illegal immigrants.

I watched reruns of Fresh Prince of Bel Air with my big brother.
WCW started the next year, i remember fake-wrestling my brother and hitting each other with big-ass pillows
My brother introduced me to comic books at the age of 5-6, i started out with Spider-man and after about a year i had a decent grasp of the English language. By the time i was in first grade i was pretty fluent.
I remember the christmas when mom gave my big brother the first harry potter book and me a copy of Pokemon Red. I can still recall sitting at my desk reading the instruction manual and seeing a picture of kakuna. I became pretty good at drawing pictures of Kakuna.
Goddamn a lot happened during those years...

My education hadn't even begun 14 years ago. I didn't know English back then either, I don't think.

-You could fill your cars gas tank for less than 20 dollars
-There were only 3 Star Wars movies.
-Half Life and Deus Ex were FUCKING AWESOME.

-N64 was blowing people away with it's "advanced graphics"
-The Catholic church still hadn't apologized for 2,000 years of blunders, namely the persecution of Galileo and Jews.
-Britain finally gave back control of Hong Kong to China

I was 15 and I guess just finishing up school, I was playing games on my P133 system with its 32mb of RAM and 4MB of VRAM with a 14" monitor, games like C&C red alert, Baldurs gate, Fallout and many even older classics like syndicate, Xcom, mechwarrior 2. I didn't have an internet connection but I was part of an AD&D group and played various warhammer games with friends (ok I was a bit of a nerd).
I was five at the time, games like Croc and Spyro were what occupied the Playstation for me.
Beyond that I was trying my damned best to tie those shoes.
