Today tonight did a report on a woman that wanted 10 children and a bunch of moronic old people, in this case you guys, began waving their fingers.

The chaser pointed out that it's a non story because she doesn't have 10 kids yet and anyone can want anything to get attention. To prove their point they brought in a woman who wanted *gasp* a million children!

I've seen many teen and preteen girls slutting it up on Maury. They always show the parent crying. (1)Well where was that parent a week ago when her daughter was out having sex with multipul older guys? (2)Where was that parent when her daughter smoked weed for the first time. (3)Who's paying for her daughter's skanky outfits?

1) You expect the parent to do what, lock her in her room? You heard her, she's out having sex basically anywhere. She can't be watched all the time. It's not like she can stop her.
2) When did it mention anything about weed? Even so, I hardly think you can link that to her current situation.
3) Skanky outfits? I've seen 10 year olds wearing skankier stuff than that! Plus that's hardly going to be the cause of this. Also she no doubt could pay for herself with her "prostitution plan" (that bit made me laugh).
To be honest, lots of younger girls get obsessed with babies, it's hardly that unusual.

My opinion is that I blame the recent culture that 'every child is a special snowflake and needs to be protected'.

Here's where I sound like an old man, but bear with me.

When I was growing up as a teen in the 80s, I was a metalhead, spikes, studs, patches etc, trying to look the rebellious type. However, it never even crossed my mind to be abusive, rude or violent to other people, partly because I had no reason to, and had respect for others.

But mainly because if I shouted 'Oi, Wanker!' at that guy over there who's 10 years older than me and bigger than me, he'll come over and punch me in the face.

Nowadays, we can't smack kids (which I agree there should be a limit on), and some little 12 year old chav starts verbally abusing me in the street, and it's happened, I can't really do very much, as for one he's in a group and they're quite happy to be violent, and secondly, if I was to go over and slap the last bit of sense out of his skull, I'd be the one talking to the police on a charge of 'child abuse'.

Kids need to know they're loved, and they have support, but they're not the greatest thing on earth, and they have not inherited the earth.

I don't really have an answer for the underage sex tho, they're going to do it, no matter how disapproving society seems to be. Maybe force the couple to look after the child or face prison, thus eventually getting the message thru that sex = 18 years of no money and free time, and hey prison looks like a good deal.

I miss being a minor. It meant that when some 13 year olds followed me, kicking my shoes (after I ripped up their train ticket receipt because they were throwing it at me), I could turn around in the middle of the street, put one in a headlock and punch him in the face.
I hope I taught him a valuable life lesson, not to fuck around with someone bigger than you.
