look at the tits instead, that's where the dev's effort goes.

Play the very first Soul Calibur if you get the chance, we'll talk again then. ;DJay Parrish said:- Gameplay depth (It was deep enough in IV, however. It could always be better)
Oh hell, that wasn't the implication. The implication is that the only person out of my main three is old man Mitsurugi, because I've never seen a woman over 40 in this game, so Taki and Seung Mina probably won't make it. That angers me, since I've been playing them since SC I.Gigaguy64 said:Implying you wouldn't want to see an old Grizzled Mitsurugi still kicking ass and taking names with White hair and more scars.
I think he and a few others will be fine.
Characters like Astaroth and Yoshimitsu are pretty much still in because they don't age, but i feel this is a good chance to start fresh with new characters, before the old character's wardrobes and movesets get reduced even more.
Yes the wardrobe bit is what pisses me off the most.
Eh you never know.ChromeAlchemist said:Oh hell, that wasn't the implication. I remember playing SCI recently and being like "holy crap, I can use Taki perfectly! She's basically identical to the SCII version!" which was comforting.
Dude... I've played through all the games...Pedro The Hutt said:Play the very first Soul Calibur if you get the chance, we'll talk again then. ;DJay Parrish said:- Gameplay depth (It was deep enough in IV, however. It could always be better)
And Theo Rob, that used to be DoA's thing, but starting with SCIII, Namco decided they'd try that too!
I'm hoping the current trend will continue.tanis1lionheart said:Am I the only person wondering how big Ivy's boobs are going to get?
This right here covers it for me, too. I mentioned most of this in the announcement thread as well. Though I would rather have Weapon Master mode from II than Chronicles of the Sword.chromewarriorXIII said:I honestly don't care about the story of Soul Calibur. What I do care about however:
-Faster gameplay like in III. IV was too slow.
-Get rid of the stats for character customization and made it so we could make our character look however we wanted without screwing us over.
-Bring back the jobs for character customization rather than only choosing the canon characters weapons. I want my wave swords, God dammit!
-Have Sophitia or someone with Sophitia's moveset (she's my main).
That's really the most important things for me. Although, I would like to see another Chronicles of the Sword mode. That was actually pretty fun.
Then surely you must've noticed how with each Soul Calibur after the first the roster became more and more unbalanced, command inputs got needlessly switched around and the aesthetics of the game drifted closer and closer to those of Dead or Alive? So on several layers the franchise has only become more shallow as time went on.Jay Parrish said:Dude... So, what is it you'd like to talk about then? hmmm...?
I am Mediterraenean. And knowing how people of my region look, it seems really awkward seeing characters like Sophitia.ChromeAlchemist said:My three mains (I know it's weird to have more than one) are Seung Mina, Taki, and Mitsurugi. I'm pretty much fucked. As you know, Mitsurugi and Taki are both 29 in SCIV, and Seung is 23. I guarantee you they won't even put a woman in her 40s into this game, so I'm only going to be using old Mitsurugi.ozan192 said:I was really exited when I heard Soul Calibur 5 was officially anounced but after reading some information about it, I was let down. My main problem is that it takes place 17 years after the events of Soul Calibur IV. This puts almost all Soul Calibur characters in their 40's. Seriously man, Taki is my main character and a 46 year old version of her is just uncool. Another thing that's really bugging me is that the main character is Patroclus. Nobody cares about him. Sigfried was cools as the main character. At least with Sigfried, the blonde hair was believable. I dont think the gaming industry needs 1950's aryanist depictions of mediterranean people. I hope they change this because this has really put me and pretty much everyone else I know off the game.
That being said, I've been a little distant from the series since SCIII. II was the best one, the three characters I mentioned were basically perfect.
I mean Kilik is a MOVESET CLONE of Seung Mina! And they change Seung Mina's moveset? Piss off.
And random question: You wouldn't happen to be Mediterranean would you? I'm just curious.
