People celebrate holidays and events for different reasons. Choosing to pick one of those events does not mean you have to acknowledge the others.

You have a legitimate reason. Everyone else is celebrating 420 for no other reason than to light a hallucinogenic plant on fire and breath in the resulting fumes. I find that to be so stupid, that I have reasoned that odds are that some hippies saw some Nazi supporting kids smoking more weed than usual that day and, because of their compromised sense of judgment, joined in in celebrating. Thus, all stoners are Nazis. (No,I'm not an idiot, I just do not approve of pot)

Then just say you do not approve of pot. It's ok to have an opinion. Taking a great shit on the heads of others from the highest heights because of your opinion is not cool. And technically, that's a more facist move than just being stoned and it makes you just sound mean.

As I said in another thread, 4/20 started because a group of kids at some school started getting together after school, at 4:20, to smoke pot. That's it. Nothing big and fancy. Just a trend that caught on well.
