These are the earliest games I remember playing; but there were more before this:

Whenever someone claims Half-Life 1 or Diablo 1, or even Halo 1 as the first old game they have ever played, I have to laugh. I could show older games but frankly videos don't often exist for them. Lol!

mine was either super mario bros. on the first game boy or the original Crash bandicoot on psone, the latter had more meaning to me cause i actually bought it with my own cash.

*Edit: i also got Crash the day it came out along with the psone

Oh god...... When I was young, I was trying to avoid that monster many times...... Guess how that ended :)

Earliest game I remember been playing is the first Colin McRae for PS1.

Legend of Zelda: Ocerina of Time.

I still remember the day years ago, when my older brothers once were 'babysitting' me by taking me to their best-friends house (who were our neighbours as well), cluttered around the couch staring at the main-room television.

One of them on the computer behind us called all of the couch residents over for something special, and I remained docile eyeing that mysterious Nintendo 64 controller. When they weren't looking, I reached out to grab the device, pressed the "unpause button", and started moving around Link in some level I later learned as the Fire Temple. A few seconds past until my brother noticed, jumped from what he was watching on the computer, grabbed the controller from me, and left it on a spot I couldn't reach.

All I did then was focus on the television, somewhat admiring the targeted "Deku Nut" icon that the game was paused at.

In a way, I missed those days...

Either Contra or Legend of Zelda, with a heavy chance of Super Mario Bros.
No, at the time, I couldn't beat Contra. Not even with the thirty lives cheat.

Surprisingly enough, though, I was able to slog my way through Legend of Zelda with only a few opportunities of asking for help. Of course, it took some number of months to actually beat it.
Gold cartridge, too. Where the hell did I put that thing?

I don't remember the games name. It was just some game on the Tandy (Radio Shack) Color Computer, similar to the Commodore 64, that had dinosaurs in it. All I would do is make them roar. I was very little like maybe three.

Maybe it could of been Super Mario Bros. or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the NES. My family got that when I really little. We got the Nintendo so my Mom could play Gauntlet with out wasting quarters.
