My friend has a $2 bill and won't let anyone touch it.

Then again, he doesn't let anyone touch any of his stuff.

i usually go to the bank and grab about $50 worth of these things and use them at random. its really fun to see people try their best to swap out some ones out of their pocket for them. as mentioned before yes the mint still makes these. they are worth more if they are unique in some way (silver certificates, bicentennial). another fun thing to do: remember in chemistry when you made the pennies different colors like gold and silver? if you get alot of those and put them in with change, people think they hit the motherload! someone actually gave me change back for one mistaking it for a dime.

make sure they have enough some banks do not keep a very high supply. you might only get about 24 dollars worth. but bigger the bank more they will have. my local bank is pretty small and when i asked for 2 dollar bills she went down all the teller's lines and pulled them out of their tills. ended up with 12.

Oddly enough my parents have 3 dollar bills.

Oh I knew they were fake. They have Clinton on it with women in bikinis holding beers. I just wonder how my parents got them. They looked and felt real.

In Canada our 1 dollar coin is called a loonie and own 2 dollar coin is called a toonie, and if we ever had a 5 dollar coin they could call in a goonie...I don't know why it just sounds ridiculous like the others...our government is so stupid sometimes.

I hate my bank... I think I will go get $150 or so in $2 bills from them with my next paycheck...

Give them a bit of advance notice. Most banks don't keep stacks of deuces around (as I mentioned in my earlier post, we had to order them in "straps" of 100 bills for our little contest), but if you ask "when can you get some $2 bills in?", not only will they accommodate your request, but if you ever wanted to rob that bank*, now you know when they get their money shipments.

*Robbing banks could get you hurt, arrested, possibly deported. Don't try this at home.

When I was younger and we lost a tooth we got $2 bills or the 50cent coins. To see something out of the ordinary when I was so little was rather fun and exciting. Who else but the tooth fairy could bring such rare awesomeness?

Here's the problem with $2 bills. Everyone thinks that they're rare. The truth is, they are still being made, but every time someone finds one, they take it home and put it in a drawer. I believe I had one from 2007 or 2008 (I can't remember which).

That's so true, people do think they're rare. I just think they're cool so I've kept what I can find. Got 5 of them in a jar.
