and the reason behind this question was an argument with a mate after i showed him a set of auto-bot/decepticon earrings that i was looking at buying mainly for the auto bot one

I personally seen no reason why a guy would want to wear them, but it is a personal choice. That said, I fully have the option to make fun of them BECAUSE it's their personal choice.

Call me weird, bigoted or sexist, but I believe any piercing should be the province of women and people who don't want any job outside of pumping gas. It serves no purpose. It doesn't make you cooler. It's not a statement or symbol....unless the statement is "I have no sense of self worth and therefore must puncture and perforate my skin in a myriad of ways in order to improve my self-esteem."


Addendum: Ok, actual tribal piercings, complete with you BEING FROM AN ACTUAL TRIBE, I am ok with that. It's your culture, it's required of you. Still think it looks dumb, but what you gonna do?
