In my opinion 2008, was a year for gamers to join in unison, raise their collective gamepads, keyboards and headsets to the sky, and rejoice. We had a good one. Just to name a select few, we had; NHL 09, SW: TFU, Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, Halo 3&MGS4(for the fans, personally not a huge fan of either), GTAIV, WotLK, a reinvented Prince of Persia, Left 4 Dead and new editions to Guitar Hero & Rock Band. Like I said, that's just naming a few. I'm hard pressed to think of any other year in the recent past, that has offered us so much Grade A Gaming Goodness, and here's hoping that '09 will bring us even half as much.

Halo 3 came out in 2007. On September 25th I think.
And really, November 08 has been very good while months had very few titles. I hope that 2009 doesn't pack everything into one month. I hate the drought and I hate having a billion games to buy.

I would hope that of the systems I have the PSP had not been such a dissapointment. When I bought it several years ago I had such high hopes for it to bring out some great games for at least 3-5 years, not 1-3 years. As for the 360, this has been a stellar year and I'm glad I purchased one this summer. I loved Fable 2, COD, GTA, and the Madden 09 Anniversary set (I love Madden). With all the great games this year it sure would have been nice to have been able to get a PS3 as well. Ah, well...that can wait until next year.
Sorry Halo 3, my mistake there, not a Halo player, and obviously my memory doesn't serve me, had just assumed(and yes, I know what assuming does) that it was an '08 game. Being a fan of RvB, I should've known better. And to Dieseldub, again have to apologize, I didn't take the handhelds into account, I was going from a mainly PC and slightly console PoV.
