Discounting the fact I've already had 2 big buy's this year, Portal 2 and Brink, and I'm getting LA Noire shortly, I honestly don't know how I'm going to have any money left by the end of this year.

E3 has just dumped another list of games that I just HAVE to have on me that are all coming out this year. Don't get me wrong I'm totally stoked but I'm starting to think I'll have to rob a bank to pay for all of these...

- Mass Effect 3 (ok, I know it's 2012 now but it's early 2012 when I'll still be reeling from all the others so it counts)

- Assassin's Creed: Revelations

- Deus Ex: Human Revolution

- Battlefield 3

- Modern Warfare 3

- Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim

Boy, all the releases I've been waiting my life for just HAD to come out all in one year didn't they? (Thank God Halo 4 is set for Christmas 2012) I know that I don't have to get all of these on release day and realistically I can't, but it's killing me trying to decide which ones to get before the spoilers start flooding in.

Discussion value: Which big releases are you planning on getting? Which are your favorites? And how are you planning on affording them?

skyrim all the way, if it's as awesome as oblivion i wont need to buy another game for atleast another year. i plan afford it by tapping into my weed fund for that month if i need to, but i still have left over christmas money that i've been saving for exactly this reason.

Skyrim's a maybe at the moment. I never got into any of the previous series but this one looks a hell of a lot better. Do The Elder Scrolls games have a dense canon between them? Will it matter that much is I haven't got into to series so far?

I'm only mildly interested in ME 3, and the rest of those games either don't interest me or are just a blatant slap to the face. Well, Modern Warfare 3 is just a slap to the face.

Don't forget the PC world, with SW:TOR and Guild Wars 2 coming, as well as Heart of the Swarm sometime around then. Maybe just taking some extra jobs? I only really plan on GW2 and Skyrim this year so I won't be slaving, but I can definitely see big console gamers shelling out big time.

I'll be going for Bulletstorm, LA Noire, Deus Ex, Screed: Revelations, ME3, and maybe Skyrim. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten any games from this year yet, and my list from last year is still pretty big.

I've already gotten L.A. Noire, but there is definitely more left this year I want.

Those three should be enough to keep me occupied until Mass Effect 3 comes out...which was further away that I anticipated. But all well, hopefully that will make it even more epic then it is.

Oh, and the remake of Halo.

Lore and canon is more backdrop than anything. If you're looking for a plot to keep you going, TES really isn't for you. The lore and the story lines (both main quest and sides) are there, but it's really all about what you want to do. Player choice drives the games rather than the narrative.

For some, like me, that's the best part of the whole thing. For others, they kind of kick around in the woods for a while, then go back to more structured games.
