I cant wait..... I'm all excited, it looks fantastic and and and.... ahhhhh I want it now D:
Hehe naw, only messing it does look incredible and is bringing some new elements to the game like a minor rpg element for your commanders. Instead of just leaving them sitting around and letting them provide a bonus to your troops morale/effcetiveness they will become living engines of destruction. In the old total war games, putting your general into a 50/50 fight was (for me anyway) far too much of a risk.
In feudal Japan however, generals were expected to muck in >

I cant wait to see Daimyo Takeda scything down peasants and driving my troops onward..... mmm makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Another element that been changed is keep sieges, to be fair in most Total war games these have been disapointing. The AI was generally incapable of attacking or defending them in any sensible manner, battles where they do dumb things and get slaughterred are far too common. To date I have only lost one siege against AI, I was attacked by about 7 or 8 stacks of Timruids in Jerusalem upwards of 10,000 soildiers. Basicly I didnt stand a chance haha.
But if the devs are to be believed, the new keep sieges will be great and the AI should be able to cope much better with battlefield changes and the actions taken by the player. One of the few games I've been this excited by... coming out March 15th on Steam \o/
