2012
so for the second time in my life im told the worlds going to end, it perplexes me. true or untrue it really puts life into perspective, that whether it comes in 2012 or 6 billion years from now this world isnt endless, but life is. life perseveres no matter what. it has for billions of years and it will continue for eternity. then theres time, time we all know what it is but can we describe it if somebody never had time never knew it could we explain what it was to them. for some reason time doesnt feel so light, so endless, as if it was more important as if every hour now counted more had more weight each time. what if that day does come the fateful December 21st 2012 every person knowing the heavyness that surrounds them the tense air, that sense that at any moment everything they know could cease to exist. but more importantly what if December 22nd comes, will we learn anything from our brush with death. Y2K didnt teach us anything, to add value to time, to appreciate it more and put more weight on our actions, our consequences as it relates to time. they say everybody who has stared death in the eye feels a sense of urgency to make the time they do have left the best it could be. maybe all of us should be that way, whether the end comes or not.
