I found myself getting Far Cry 4 and Wasteland 2.

Not as bad as previous years, mostly because ive already bought everything i ever had any interest in.

Not all that bad all things considered.

$6.79 USD, and that was on a copy of Among the Sleep for a friend of mine who had it on her wishlist. (The scary games don't appeal to me anymore the way they used to.)

I was thinking of getting The Forest, but with how buggy I've seen the game act on Let's Plays, I wasn't going to pay a penny more than $7.50 for it, and it never got below ten bucks.

Pretty sure that's it and it was well under $40.

Though, I'm so tempted to get the Goat Simulator!

Well after the devastation of last year which totaled about $200 this year I managed to stay well away and spent nothing. I have such a backlog right now that I'm just not buying anything until I catch up. Damn you university for taking up all my time.

Not sure how much I spent in total, but I picked up...

1. The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
2. Tales From The Borderlands
3. Wolfenstein: The New Order
4. Saints Row IV: Game of the Century Edition
5. Resident Evil: Revelations

All during daily deals, so pretty cheap.

....Well, don't I feel like a wasteful p.o.s., especially after reading how damn near everyone in this thread spent very little compared to me. :/

What did I spend, you ask? Hundreds and hundreds of U.S. dollars--but mostly on other people! Aren't I nice? ^.^ I resolved to try and buy each and every person on my Steam Friends list at least one game, something cheap and on sale. I stress the try part, since though I meant to only spend less than $10 on each person, I sometimes couldn't ignore getting that friend who has that game on their wishlist the soundtrack for said game, or the DLC with the fancy shit, or the cheaper GOTY version (definitely tried to avoid any GOTYs with the season pass still in it)...which meant that I could've spent more than the $10 limit I meant to hold myself to. Needless to say, I had to reload my cash reserves numerous times, but as long as all...*looks at Steam*...88 friends got something that they like, then I am happy. ^w^

...Though, I will admit that there were quite a few $3.39 copies of the original Mount & Blade I gifted out to those who either had nothing on their wishlists or things that were just too expensive, so...yeah.

Also, it does seem like there weren't a lot of good deals this year. Sure, there were a few, but...gifting aside, I don't think I spent too much on myself...

I survived compared to a lot of people, but sort of splurged by my standards:
Valkyria Chronicles
Insurgency
Analogue: A Hate Story
Metro 2033
Graviteam Tactics
Europa Universalis IV
All told probably around $40 so really not that much for 6 games at all, but I reeaaally don't buy many games at once like that haha.

Bought very few games for myself. Already have a backlog to get through, so there wasn't much point.

Did received a few gifts, though. So hurray!

As for what I did buy, I bought one or more copies of each of the following to pass out to friends:

* Torchlight 2
* Project Zomboid
* Terraria
* Deus Ex: Human Revolution DC
* Contagion
* Legend of Grimrock 2
* Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion
* Valve Complete pack

As for what I was gifted:
* Ibb & Obb
* Halo: Spartan Assault
* Slave Zero
* Tiny Brains
* Broken Age
* Freespace 1&2
* Gauntlet
* Ancient Space

So...yeah. Nabbed most when they were at their cheapest, but I still dropped a fair bit this time 'round.

Oh well. Was happy to do it. Had a decent amount of "throwin' around" money this holiday. Besides, I made a lot of people happy and have already managed several hours of play time with friends in the games I bought for them.

All in all, twas a good sale.

May GabeN be praised...

Well. I don't have alot of time for games and I got a ton of games already in steam to play so buying something I want like Wasteland 2 would be pointless. BUUUUUUUUUUT! As I was scanning through the sales I Noticed a game I'd never heard of and looked like something I hadn't seen done that way before. Graviteam Tactics. A WWII RTS done faithfully realistically with multiple tactical levels. and it was normally priced at like 20 bucks and another 15 for each of its DLC and it was down by like 85 and 90 percent so I got 3 dlc packs and the game itself for less then 10 dollars on the last day. So it was good I suppose.

EDIT: It makes Company of heros looks so arcadie and silly.

What's wrong with arcady or silly games? It's because of how arcady World of Tanks is that I like it more then Warthunder.

Nothing at all. But I wanted a hard bitten historical game which I thought that CoH was a little bit. Just not anymore.

I only got a few games this time around:

* Wolfenstein: The New Order
* The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
* Spore + one expansion
* The Witcher

Pretty pleaased with all the games so far.
Wolfenstein is the best shooter I've played in a while, Ethan Carter is atmosperic and creepy, the kids love Spore and The witcher is a fresh (even though it's from 2007) take on the western RPG.

Only one.

- Gunpoint = $5:99.

It's worth it.
Sure, it may be sure, but the Steam community is building more. There is action, puzzles, comedy, and a neat story. That's all I need.
... also gadgets that make you leap through glass, punch people 200 times, and get you to places.

It's a fun little game. Wouldn't mind a sequel too.
