I will be 21 in august, but I doubt I will feel like an adult. I will feel old, but not an adult. Mostly because most people my age seem way more mature than me, both physically and personallity wise. I miss being 10.

Anyway, it seems that 21 is considered the official boundary of grown-up-ness, pretty much wherever you are.
Here in Saskatchewan you are legally an adult and socially considered an adult when you hit 18. You can't drink until your 19th birthday but voting, smoking and other things I forget become open to you.

I celebrated my "adult day" by going out, buying a pack of cigarettes and symbolically tossing them into the South Saskatchewan River.

Oh and:

Round these parts it's 18 years old. God bless the UK sometimes. It's a shitty place but I'm 19 and I've already been drunk off my arse more times than I can count. Legally, that is. Counting the illegal drunkeness... if they enforced that as a proper crime I'd be fucked.

Talk to us when you hit 30. Looking back at me when I was 21 I realize I was still just an immature, oblivious little kid who thought he was a grown up. Hell even at 30 I still don't feel so "grown up". I certainly feel less stupid than what I was when I was 21.

I'm 17 and I consider myself an adult, but someone on my road is 23 and he acts like he's 15. As several people have already iterated, adulthood is a state of mind.

Damn, I'm 28 and I don't feel like a adult yet... Legally I suppose you can be considered an adult by 21 but emotionally it's different from person to person IMO.

Congratulations anyway; hope you have (had?) a good day! =D

I see 18 as an adult because in the UK you're able to drink and vote at that age.

I turned 21 in April, I feel awfull old now, even though I'm not really.

Anyway happy day of birth and have fun drinking!
