For something different to a re-skinned WOW try APB reloded, its a bit shabby and short lived but I had a lot of fun for a month or two with it (F2P via steam) or D.C universe (PC or PS3) also F2P and kept me going on the PS3 when my P.C went bang.

Star Trek Online. Best recommended if you're a fan of the Trek franchise. Ground combat is okay, but the real selling point for STO is the space combat, which is fantastic.
Space combat is amazing? I tried that game, I mashed my face on the keyboard during the space combat section of the tutorial, and I won. Seriously. I was rolling my face on the keyboard.
It's a tutorial level, what do you expect?

Given that a tutorial's main purpose is to teach you the basics of movement and firing of course it's easy. Once you get out into the game itself the combat starts to become more challenging, and therefore interesting, and there's three difficulty settings.

TERA Online? The fact that nobody has mentioned it means there's something wrong with it,isn't it?
I hear it's kind of boring. Like the combat is good but the quest's and such is the same old same old.

The cool thing to do on these forums is to bash The Old Republic, but I love the game. It plays like WoW, but with lightsabers, which I think is great, I never had an issue with MMO combat so that wasn't a problem for me. The biggest thing though, at least for me, was the fully voiced npc dialogue, coming straight from WoW, where I didn't even read the quests anymore, the dialogue was so much more engaging than a text box. Each class gets their own personal story too, the one I've been playing, the Sith Warrior, has a story line that makes you feel like a total badass.

You can play it for free up to lvl 15 now, and it's going free to play soon
