Could've made the switch eat 3ds cartridges but I guess that just makes too much sense.
3DS games are designed to run on a dual screen system. Switch only has one. 3DS resolution is 800x240 (for 3d), Switch is either 720 or 1080, upscalling would look horrible.

I don't use 3D, but also want the damn thing to be pocketable, so the regular 2DS is out (while the regular 3DS XL fits fine).
If the lack of 3D means a brighter screen (for outdoor visibility) I'll seriously consider picking one up.

If it's the same as before... The "New" 3DS doesn't have enough exclusives for me to upgrade.

I don't understand why they put the clamshell feature back in for the 2DS XL. I thought the idea of the original 2DS was to not do that to increase durability for kids? Now we're just back to it again. Weird
I kind of thought the Wedge design was A F U to poor people. Here Charlie, who grow up in Public Housing, a off brand 3DS. Granted I hear 3ds is more comfortable then the 3DS models.

I feel the pocket able feature, I sold my Marjora's Mask New 3DS XL for the smaller Pokemon Red and Blue bundle because I like to have my 3DS in my pocket.

Granted I Highly recommend that you don't skate board with your 3DS because when you, crash, eat dirt, and Bleed the last thing you want to realize is that you broke both screens on your 3ds. Almost making transferring information to another system impossible.

I'm currently playing Star Ocean: Second Evolution and Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon on my GPD XD. I also have my Android games on it, Arcade titles, and a plethora of other consoles games from generations past.

What's this got to do with the 2DSXL? Well the GPD XD has a similar size to the 2DSXL and 3DSXL but isn't limited to just playing Nintendo games, I can access titles from a wealth of other companies and publishers.Sure I'm not getting the latest Nintendo titles but I am able to play a large amount of their back catalogue.

This is the problem the 2/3DSXL handhelds and the Switch have to compete with for me. They are offering Nintendo titles and precious little else. What is there that Nintendo can offer to drag me to a 2/3DSXL or Switch when the GPD XD (or their GPD Win) just have so many more options for around the same price point.
