Second person is where you only can see the head of your character.

It's a little like Over-the-shoulder, just with a camera fixed behind your head.
I Friggin LOVED Rock Raiders, I have no clue why.

OT, seems to be most people agree with the theory that 2nd person would be through the eyes of another character watching you.

Anybody know any games where this happened? Only one I can think of was a boss fight in an old TMNT game where you watched from the boss's robot control room as he tried to smash you, which was pretty neat. In order to beat the boss, you had to throw guys at the window, so when a guy hit it, it was like the dude flew foward and hit the glass on your TV screen.

Needless to say, that was an epic boss fight

Well, let's see. For storytelling, first person is, "I did this." Third Person is, "Dragonpit did this." Second Person is me saying I did this. All the text is basically dialog.
So, to put it in terms of video games, while third and first persons are obvious, second person would have to be...the control of the main character through another character. Sounds pretty haphazard, doesn't it? But no, I don't think it's been done, and I'm not sure it should even be attempted.

it would definately be a challenge to make, and a bigger one to play, but if any game designers make it, i would still try it to see what it looks like. And i mean second person by camera or view point, not by text definitions.

In Resident evil 1... or one of the remakes i can't remember. You controlled Jill from the perspectives of security cameras, so there you go.

Or am i thinking of another game?
