So the parent and her man-***** were playing on a game and neglecting their daughter...the daughter tried to get some much needed attention was being fussy, so they murdered her.

Anyway, isn't Osaka in Japan? I thought the nation was reeling from a gigantic fucking disaster, but it's nice to see this pair had the time to take even more lives.

The 'experimenter' (reporters/community/whatever) believe they'll find more stories about gaming-correlated disasters (like this one), and so they unconsciously pay extra attention for them. I'd also note that we now live in a time where anything that happens within the more advanced nations of earth are now news for you. Its the same reason that there appears to be more natural disasters then earlier, you now hear about them.

Also, the news loves a story about gamers, so they will make it in where a normal murder will not.

This is not video game news! I'm so sick of these "news" articles always being posted here. It was an incident that involved a video game console, games are not the focus of the issue.

I highly doubt car enthusiasts post a story about every person who steals a car, or every drunk driver who kills himself.

I laughed at the title, then got to reading the post and that is really just terrible. Since this is an outright case of murder I think they should have to rot in prison for quite some time, or executed, or W/E the maximum punishment for such a crime is in that area.

Stop and think about that. It's not most of humanity who's that dumb. It's a very small minority. If it were the majority, stuff like this wouldn't be news worthy It'd just be more of every day stuff. I hope that realization cheers you up.
