I mostly remember Hanging out with Various different Friends and Family Members when I reflect back on the past couple of years - That and the odd life consuming Video Game (I'm looking at you Mass Effect and Dragon Age), lol.

Guess I just broke my 3 year anniversary on this site, too. According to my join date, at least.

Thing I remember best is a lot fewer video contributors, and specifically Doomsday Arcade. Best series that the Escapist has ever had (Sorry, LRR).

Having always lurked more than I posted, I can't say what really changed, forum-wise. Consoles got console-ier, ponies got ponier, and people still fight over trivial matters or try to seem like suave intellectuals by proposing metaphoric questions or shooting down others' questions with dry "wit".

Here's to three years gone, and three years to come. After which the singularity will claim our lives and bank accounts, or something.

Yeah, I do remember the past three years. Users who have come and gone. Shows like There Will Be Brawl, who finished their runs, and shows like Urealms who have gone elsewhere.

Perhaps my best memory of the past three years came from the Zynga fiasco of last year. During that hard time, a post was made. I sadly didn't record their name, but I did take to heart (and notepad) what they said.

I remember little of my first year but I do miss [user]Swollen Goat[/user], [user]Furburt[/user] (or [user]Cherry Cola[/user] or something <.>), [user]Hulibub[/user] (Don't know what his username was switched to) among others and watching them run amok in Off Topic. I remember fighting with [user]Marter[/user] for the first comment in pretty much every Off Topic thread available. I remember the first series I followed carefully other than ZP, There will be Brawl as well as when Apocalypse Lane was still running. I will never stop reminding people to keep Doraleous and Associates on the radar of the staff XD

I remember the controversies of my time. The first rule change, Game Dogs, the implementation of the health bar (something I still adamantly believe should only be visible to the staff and the user in question) and of course EC. The Mojang victory over Valve shocked me.

I lack the memory to remember when exactly I was sucked into the abyss of Forum Games but now it feels like home XD

So congrats Timelord. Thanks for the good times so far and the good times that are yet to come!

Congratulations! I would've had that badge if I had taken the leap back in the day. Man, I miss those guys! Past favs include: Unforgotten Realms, Top 5, Extra Credits, There Will Be Brawl, Sunday Funnies(where Name Game started), and Apocalypse Lane!

God when I first joined up Doomsday Arcade wasn't even created yet, and I was just learning my way around these forums as a noobie.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe... Valve defeating Turbine in March Madness, Crowshaw trashing SSBB to pieces and the angry mob afterwards. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tanhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. [pause] Time to die.*

Still, it's been a long road of fun, wacky posts, many friends made and ponies as well and I wouldn't have it any other way!

-Back when The Escapist was pretty insular and looked with disdain on other forums.
-Users whose names I remember from lurking way back when (and probably spell horribly):

Hummm, I definately was lurking three years ago (I can't remember when I joined!) and, hmm, I guess I miss Rebecca Mayes and Lisa Foiles. But I think the Escapist has continued to be/be even more awesome over the years.

As for memories of the last 3 (4 for me) years, I remember many people now lost. I remember the Election, and the second. I remember the post-election War when the President of The Escapist was kidnapped by ninjas. I remember six Escapisms, and the wars fought over crabdom. I remember Joe. I remember the first, second and third episodes of ZP.

I remember friends, found and lost, close and distant. I remember first time I held the Bansword in my hand. I remember punishment for trolls. I remember when we had to manually clear all the shit left by a 4chan raid.

So what do you remember from the last 3 years, Escapist or otherwise. Anything long since lost that you still remember, things you are thankful are gone? Or a personal view, a landmark in your life over the last three years?

Hmm. the past 3 years have been pretty eventful for me, both irl (I graduated High School, for instance) and online. I really only started posting on online forums 3 years ago, more or less. And I've been lurking on this site for well over 2 years, though I've only been actively posting here for the past 6 months or so.

Here's to another 3 years!

As for me I remember Apocalypse Lane & There Will Be Brawl, I suppose, the only usergroups i've joined have been fairly recent, I don't really know users outside of the usergroups either, though thre is that woman who died, Kortney, R.I.P.
As for the last three years in general, that was around the time I moved from my dads house in bumfuck nowhere to my moms house in the middle of the city, so a lot has changed, i've gradually become more antisocial, started having to deal with awful people every single day in school and adjusted to city life, it's been awful I suppose, though ponies exist so I guess it's all good
