Orange Box. Humble Indie Bundle with the remainder.

That is all ;)

(Ok, X-Com/Terraria/Killing Floor are good choices as well, but dammit charriddeee)
Have to agree here. When comes to getting the most "bang for your buck/euro/pound", these are the best choices. Though, there are a few games in the "humble indie pack" that aren't what I'd call....stellar.

Still, combine those two packs and you get:
Half-Life 2
Half-Life 2: Episode 1
Half-Life 2: Episode 2
Portal
Team Fortress 2
Crayon Physics Deluxe
Cogs
VVVVVV
Hammerfight
And Yet It Moves
Steel Storm
Atom Zombie Smasher

Not bad for (less than) thirty bucks.

Or, assuming you don't have them already, you could get Borderlands GOTY Edition with all 4 DLC packs or Portal 2.

Well since you give no specifications other than what i would have chosen with my imaginary pounds, i'll go with Command & Conquer 4

As well as 14 days of Minecraft, Braid and the other game I can't remember.

Unfortunately, this current Humble Bundle is finished. They raised over 2 million or so from it.

Ah well, just save it until the next huge Steam giveaway then ;)

Don't think that will be too far away then. I don't remember, does Steam usually do fall sales?

I'm in a similar predicament, but I already have a few games that I specifically want [http://steamcommunity.com/id/viparr104/wishlist]. $50 or so to spend, any suggestions?
You should just buy Terraria while it's on sale and pre-order Deus Ex: Human Revolution since they are both on your wish list.

If you could, I'd say use your money over at 'Good Old Games' instead.

Pre-Order Deus Ex Human Revolution?

They do significant daily sales now. As such big, seasonal sales aren't out of the question. They did one in Spring, so I can't see why they wouldn't in Fall.
