360 Headset Troubles

Sorry to bother ya'll again
but I have a dilemma with my headset.
I have the one that you just plug directly into the controller.
For SOME reason unknown to me when I privately chat with someone, or if they're in a party with me, they cannot hear me. However, when I send them a message with voice they hear it just fine.
Any suggestions or thoughts would be extremely helpful.

Have you tried using it with a different controller? What about the same controller but someone else's headset? It could be the fault of your Xbox. Sorry, I've never come across this before, I can't really help you...

Check all party options, or buy a new head set.
