I bought a 3DS yesterday and now I need some more games for it (I have Paper Mario and Mighty Switch Force so far). I've got a laundry list of games to buy but I was wondering if there's anything else you guys could recommended? Thanks :)

Oh BTW, if you haven't got it already then go buy Mighty Switch Force. It's awesome :D

The usual suspects, really:

Super Mario 3D Land.
Resident Evil: Revelations (Best RE entry since 4).
Mario Kart 7 (Best MK. Period.)
Tales of the Abyss.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.
Super Street Fighter IV. (Best handheld fighter. Period.)
Star Fox 64.
Luigi's Mansion 2.

There are quite a few terrific titles available on the eShop as well. The "3D Classic" re-release for Kid Icarus is particularly awesome.

The only 3DS game I have is Super Mario 3D Land, which is ok but not spectacular. I probably shouldn't have bought a 3DS when I don't have any money for games. That said, Fire Emblem Awakening is meant to be really good, and the demo supported that.

Ever hear of the Etrian Odyssey series? No? Boy, do I have a gem for you.
Etrian Odyssey 2 and 3 have been around for a while on the DS and are worth picking up if you can find them.
Etrian Odyssey 4 has recently been released on the 3DS and is also available for digital down load.
Also, Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl has been announced, which is a reimagining of Etrain Odyssey 1 with a more emphasis on plot, but also includes the original version of the game.
Also, Rune Factory 4 will be released on the 3DS sometime this summer.

Fire Emblem: Awakening is the only game I have for the 3DS and yet, I don't feel the need for any others, it's just that good.

Fire Emblem: Awakening will blow you away. As will Luigis Mansion 2 if you're into that kind of thing. I've also found ther eto be an exceptional quality to Paper Mario: Sticker Star (thought I was gonna hate it) as well as Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. I know you already have Paper Mario but I operate under the assumption that others will read this in the future with the same question as you.

Then you have the normal reocmmendations: Mario games, kart, tennis and things like Zelda: OoT 3D and stuff, which are all good for sure. I own many 3DS titles and I'd recommend most of them, except Resident Evil: Revelations as that will soon be made obsolete by the re-release on consoles and PC.

Also look at:
Star Fox 64 3D (what a title, eh?)
Dead or Alive: Dimensions (Solid fighter, enjoyed the recap)
Rhythm Thief (Solid music based game, I can't put it down)

I would say if your into this kind of thing, Shin Megami Tensei Devil Summoner Soul hackers and Kingdom Hearts 3D. I would say Resident Evil Revelations, but that's coming out on Consoles sooo...

Resident Evil Revelations, Best Resident Evil game in my opinion.
Fire Emblem Awakening, probably my favorite game on the 3DS, if you like turn based tactics games you need this game.
Mario Kart 7, really fun and a lot better than the Wii Mario Kart.
Super Mario 3D land, it's a Mario game they are all pretty good.
Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance, pretty fun and if you haven't played the other games in the series don't worry, they give you a readable summary of all the other games when they come up.
Kid Icarus Uprising, fun game, but you'll only be able to play it in small intervals as it kills your hand.
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, This is an assumption as I haven't played it but all the other Professor Layton games are amazing. Also if you haven't played any of the other Professor Laytons on DS get those as well they are amazing.
Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward, pretty good puzzle game with a branching story line. Also get 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors for the DS if you haven't as Virtues Last Reward is the sequel to it.
Oregon Trail, because everyone needs Oregon Trail.
Star Fox 64 3D and Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D, if you haven't played either of these before you should get them, they are both solid games.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate - Most enthralling game I've played in a long time.

Fire Emblem Awakening - I don't even usually enjoy tile based tactics games but this one is simply amazing.

Virtue's Last Reward - Its basically a series of those 'escape the room' style games tied together by an intriguing story with captivating characters.

Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask - If you like puzzles you will love this title, story is good too.

Pullblox and Fallblox from the eStore - Two cheap puzzle games which can be pretty challenging, very well done.

Then there's the standard Nintendo games, like Mario Kart or Super Mario Bros etc, as well as the remakes such as Star Fox and Ocarina of Time, you should already know whether or not you want these games, all I will see is that they are great at what they do.

Also as mentioned above, definitely keep an eye out for Rune Factory 4. And of course there are the new Pokemon titles coming out.

I also only own two 3DS games, both of which I was very pleased with. Ocarina of Time in 3D is the best version of that game, also the prettiest. Super Mario 3D Land is good platformer. One of their best ideas for that game is have the camera fixed so you can concentrate on navigating your characters.

I am having a lot of fun with Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate. The title says it all, you get quests to hunt monsters.

I have heard great things about Fire Emblem so you should get that if you like turn based strategy

Also what DS collection would be complete without pokemon, so in October get X and/or Y.

The sad thing, is that as a strategy game, FE: Awakening pretty bad on account of the AI.
But my god is the game polished to a mirror shine. The music is great, most of the visuals are excellent for the system.
There are memorable characters...it's just a shame that the only real source of challenge comes from the enemy numbers and stats.
Often, I'm just bottlenecking my opposition and mashing Start to skip enemy phases because barring complete retardation, once you've established a setup, it's just one big dude grinder.

I recommend it anyway; it's a decent time sink and one of the few good original titles on the system (IMO).

Not nearly enough people recommending Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate :(

I'm recommending it to every 3DS owner.

Fire Emblem: Awakening is pretty good, only other 3DS title I have LoZ OoT, which I can take or leave really.

I want the SMT games for it but haven't gotten around to getting them yet
