One word: grammar. Please use it.

And no, because I tend to play BF:BC2 all my matches are quite civilized. I love you DICE.

You have moths on Xbox LIVE? Nice

As for me I got hate mail all the time when I played CoD:WaW, one instance in particular, someone sent me a pic of their ass and said you suck.......not sure if it was love or hats since he had a cute butt :3

I've been getting less hate mail now that I'm playing SCIV's ranked less and less and hanging out in player matches with friends more, though I almost always garner a bit for my technique of disposing of douchebags in my session.
*douchebag's turn comes up*
*boot*
*send game invite*
*he joins back in*
*repeat*

Don't look at me like that! I don't boot em for winning, just having 3bar connections or having a general douchy demeanor :p

Xbox LIVE isn't the cesspool it's been made out to be in my experience, I've had my own account since...July? August? last year and haven't gotten one hateful message.
This is after playing lots of COD, Halo, GOW, etc. etc. maybe I haven't had the joy of meeting more rageful players.

If someone goes angry at me, they usually do so in World of Tanks... I'm a moderator in that game, so I usually warn people that use bad language and so on. At times they don't know that I am one, go flying off the handle and some times verbally attack me in private chat after the match. Then all there's left for me to do is mute them for an appropriate number of days, and all is well.

I've also had a guy rage-quit our squad in BF2 cause me and the others was using Ventrilo and not the in-game voip... Geez...

4 moth's and 1 hat... dude thats pretty good!
Yeah by the time I had 4 moth's I had at least 12 hats.
Damn moth's not showing up in acceptable quantities... We should start a moth farm, you know. And sell them to hat-wearers that just can't seem to get their own going.

I've been playing since h3's release and the only game that has brought me hate was mw2, just because I can shot fast does not mean I mod. -.-
and if I was drunk I would sometimes send messages to people saying "your bad" or "BK" or something lulz. But never got anything back.
its been about .... 8 months since my last hate message

I've only gotten one hate message since I joined Xbox Live which said, and I'm quoting here, U sad campin prick. It was a nice surprise to say the least since I was at work all day and hadn't played online at all.

I don't play online anymore, for connectivity reasons, but when I did, I had one that called me out for "edgeguarding" in Soul Calibur 4. The guy eliminated himself by jumping backwards off a stage. What could I have done?

I also got a voice message that was so quiet, no amount of adjusting could make it decipherable. For the sake of running with the cliches, I've always assumed it was a 12 year old squeaking profanities at my mother and I.

I usually get called a scrub. About once a month. From my understanding that means that I consider certain items/weapons as "cheap"? Weird, considering I'm usually in party chat and don't talk about the game whilst I'm in it, besides from, "bahahahaha, did you see that kill?"

Only other time I recieved a hate message was when I was called a "typical Australian prick". The reason still remains a mystery to this day.

if you call "cant talk to the 80% rest of your team" "civilized"......
Defiantly more civilized than hearing your teammates shout and curse at you and also people are easier to respect when you can't hear their voice. Opinions are better formed by observing their skill than listening to their whiny high-pitched squeals. Think of it as something similar to having friendly-fire disabled; just one more thing that allows you and your teammates to get on better with each other.

I've gotten a few hate mails, but had XBL for about 2 and a half years. My favorite was this ass whole insulted my vision because of the beat down I gave him in AC4.

what's good to see lately is that x box live is a kinder place then before I myself joined
most of the time the halo matches I played are just one long hate-fests
