Well, could be shit or not. Shame they got the guy who did the Hatred voiceover to voice the trailer:

Fuck all details, but it is at least happening. Not heard of the studio's previous efforts...hope GW aren't cheaping out on the development of this one.

So is this what became of the Lord Inquisitor movie? Because I haven't heard a word from them in 2 years and the graphics look similar and that sounds like the same voice actor from the old Grey Knight trailer.

NeocoreGames also promises that, after the campaign concludes, the story will continue ?in a colossal sandbox game? that the developer claims will give players ?years of constant entertainment, gradual development and a continuous flow of content that enriches the action-RPG gameplay.?
Hmm...action-RPG generally means some sort of leveling/character development. Gradual development and a continuous flow of content sounds like planned out DLC to me. DLC, mini-expansions, whatever you want to call them, I don't care as long as they provide enough content to cost. The sandbox part of it I am curious of. Like, possible GTA style hive world where you go around uncovering heretic cells or other similar Inquisition themed threats?

This is one of those games that I'm completely baffled as to how it will work. Sandbox ARPG doesn't seem to fit into the Warhammer 40K universe, well at least what I've seen of it. They've caught my interest, but I'm going to have to learn more before completely jumping on ship.

From what I'm guessing (And hoping) it will be a Mass Effect clone.

I'd prefer an actual rpg to an ACTION rpg, which is usually code for "diablo like".
That neocore's Van Helsing games fall under this classification gives weight to this theory, so 40k diablo is a safe bet.

I'd normally be a bit dismissive, but neocore have a solid track record:
-Van Helsing series. Pretty solid A-rpgs.
-King Arthur the rpg wargame 1+2. A total war-esque game with rpg elements and magic that most people agreed was pretty awesome. The sequel didn't catch on (the game being more of a focused campaign instead of a sandbox wargame like the 1st really pissed people off and was seen as a step backwards) as much with people but I still loved it, felt it was a lot like warhammer dark omen.
-Even their first games like Crusaders:thy kingdom game are decent.

Neocore has done solid by me, so hype meter: warm. These are proven devs who made have already made some really good games (and even the less warmly received KA2 was still really good imo), they got the potential to make a decent 40k game I'd say.

They have been working on it bit by bit but in getting the license from GW to make the movie they can't crowdsource funds for the project at all.

I admit, I lol'd.

But then again, I imagine an Inquisitor has more leeway than simply murdering everyone who is corruped in some form or fashion.

As for the game itself, color me intrigued. I'm interested in seeing how this concept is handled.

As long as it's not first-person gameplay.

Who am I kidding? With their record of crappy games, it'll be another Plants vs Zombies clone.......
