1. Hellsing (The god of all)
Gungrave (A more stylish Trigun)
Code Geass (Death Note on crack)
Serial Experiments Lain (A good philisohical anime) (Neon Genisis was not one of these!)
Fate/Stay Night (Based on an Eroge game but god damn is it a good anime especially at the end)

No order here except Hellsing which always takes first.

Honourable Mentions:
Boogiepop Phantom
Yu Yu Hakusho
DBZ
Elfin Lied (If you like violence this is for you MMMMMMMMMMMMM)
Higurashi To No Naki (If you like violence this is for you MMMMMMMMMMMMM)
Fist of the North Star

P.S. I thought I's mention that Neon Genisis is probalby one of the all time worse animes ever because nothing ever comes of anything I mean its almost worse than the Super Mario Brothers Super Show

Well, aside from classics like Bebop, TriGun and Escaflowne I like...

- Thexnolyze (If you're into very dark, psychological themes then go watch it now!)

- Paranoia Agent (social criticism by Satoshi Kon)

- Arjuna (absolutely awesome and inspiring, despite a slight Sailor Moon feeling)

- Serial Experiment Lain (confusing and fascinating at the same time)

- Blood: The Last Vampire (the movie lasts 50 intense minutes and is better than most of the stuff I've seen in ages)

5. Princess Mononoke (It's an anime movie, not show, but it's great)
This is one of the ultimate anime experiences. The soundtrack alone is so epic, it blows 99% of soundtracks away. Who hasn't seen this should quit posting, check eBay AND GET THIS MOVIE!!!

Cowboy Bebop
Bleach
Samurai Champloo
Haruhi
Code Geass

I can't understand everyones love of Death Note. The story was interesting and compelling enough for the first twenty or so episodes. Then L died. I think the story should have ended there, as from that point it went downhill. It just seems that they invented more "villains" so he show could end with Light's death.

  • The best Soundtrack i have ever heard and a great story. Could take a little bit more action though.
Jigoku Shoujo
  • Amazing Art, every episode tells a new story. Ippen shinde miru?
Gankutsuou
  • Unusual drawing style and a classic story. Even if you never read The Count of Monte christo, you should definitely see this anime.
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai
  • Begins very cute and turns into a slaughterfest. Loveable characters and a good story.

Baccano!
  • Immortal mafiosi, you can't get much more awesome. Isaac and Miria are some of the funniest characters i have seen so far
