Personally Oblivion never grew on me I felt that it was a very bland mediocre game despite having a nice big world to play in I ofund the characters and encounters rather boring, there was no real tension and no over arcing theme running throughout.
Skyrim on the other hand looks like a vastly superior title because its volatile nordic setting and the introduction of enemies more interesting than Bandits and wolves as random encounters. I also think the animations are vastly improved from Oblivion which honestly was pretty bad to look at.
I'm willing to consider Skyrim and if it cna deliver on its promises then its sure a contender for Game of the Year, but lets face it besides Deus Ex Human Revolution we haven't had much to really call an exemplary AAA game this year.
