Can't I do 5 games per genre?

5 games full stop...I can't choose D:
But since I'm forced to...Fine, I'll try and make a diverse list high on fun.

1) Company of Heroes (rts)
2) Timesplitters 3 (fps)
3) Vagrant Story (jrpg)
4) Baldurs Gate 2 (rpg)
5) Team Buddies on ps1 (my wildcard choice for split screen multi games, if any of you played this you'll understand why)

1. Minecraft/Terraria
2. Portal
3. TF2 (especially now its F2P)
4. Ratchet and Clank
5. And either:
-Final Fantasy VII, VIII, X, XIII
-Fallout 3/Oblivion/Fable 2, 3
-World of Warcraft
That way, you'll have experienced a great:
1. Adventure/Sandbox/Unique-Style Game
2. Puzzle Game
3. FPS without a silly storyline getting in the way with well rounded classes.
4. RPG Shooter (i suppose) with some funny parts
5. and:
-great RPGs with a good combat system (if you finish XIII without selling it and buying it back i will have respect for your patience/determination/stick-with-it-ness.)
-RPGs with great morality systems
-A great MMORPG

5. Bioshock
Yeah, I'd say that's a pretty good list.

I'll go with that.

Maybe switching out Bioshock with Mass Effect. (And Mario 3 instead of 1)

1. Quake II. I still play this game today! Hands down my favourite shooter ever!

2. Gears of War 2. I just love playing Horde mode with my friends. I think I've easily put a few days worth into that mode alone!

3. Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire. It's not like it's one of the best games ever made, it's just for nostalgia really. The PC version is the best by far but my computer won't run it anymore so I guess I'm stuck with the Nintendo 64 version :-(

4. Halo 2. The game that made Xbox Live. Probably the most fun you'll ever have on an online shooter. Well, back in 2004, we've got Halo Reach for that now.

5. Star Wars Racer. I grew up on the PC version and played it every night! I know every course inside out! Just recently bought the Dreamcast version with is so much better in terms of controls and graphics than the Nintendo 64 version but still not as epic as the PC version.

Yea, none really come to mind. I love FPS and RTS, but I know a lot of people who like neither, just like me not being the biggest fan of JRPGs or Sim games and what have you.

Now, if you're an FPS, RTS, and somewhat WRPG fan like me, I'd recommend these, in no particular order.

CoD4- Seriously, you should atleast play the game that started today's current CoD craze. some fantastic multiplayer if you can deal with a couple balance issues.

Warcraft 3- Everything about this game is awesome, and honestly if you're an RTS fan and you haven't played this game, we need to talk.

Deus Ex- needs no explanation. seriously now, go play this, right now. don't bother with the sequel though, but the upcoming one might be good.

Those are really the only ones I can recommend to anyone with atleast similar tastes to me, though I'd also throw in the Halo games, Mass Effects, Half-lifes, Company of Heroes and Dawn of War.

1)Ace Combat Series (know what good game music is)
2)Any top-down Zelda game (know what makes a game "classic, simple fun")
3)Modern Warfare 2 (know what makes multiplayer addictive and fun [and know what spawn killing is])
4)Mass Effect Series (know what makes for a good and compelling story)
5)I can't think of anything, but I'd suggest any good RPGs like Oblivion or, ugh...Final Fantasy
