Just a game about punching people.

Lunatic mode: Not suitable for anyone.

Kill demons with Smokin' Sick Style!!!

Run a shop to bribe fairies.

Ten heroes, two teams, infinite possibilities.

Blend into crowds to kill undetected.

Candy bars recharge batteries. That's logical.

Terrorise New York City with shapeshifting.

Score points for making guards panic.

Steal treasure from steampunk One Percent.

Use guns to obtain more guns.
Street Fighter, Fire Emblem Awakening, God Hand (?), Recettear, League of Legends, Assassins Creed, Deus Ex, Prototype, Dishonoured, Thief

In my reality, I got all of these right!
Okay, what to do...

There are no heroes, only jerks.

My ladder disappeared, and I'm stuck!

Six mercenaries, one horde, lets begin.

It evolved into a turd. Great.

Grand Theft Auto in North Korea.
Mercenaries! Still one of the best open world experiences I have ever played. such a shame the sequal was so awfull...
I loved the first game and tried playing the second on the PS2, finding it very glitchy and some missions nigh impossible. Never knew if it was a bad port or the game sucked console regardless.
Nope, not just you, I played it on Xbox, was glitchy as fuck, there's one mission where you have to rescue a chinese dignitary off the roof of a fifty story building but It's made more challenging by the fact that he has a rather annoying habit of jumping off the feckin' building every time you get within a mile of him. Also the required QTEs for jacking helicopters became more and more difficult towards the end of the gameto the point of me almost breaking my controller in the last few missions.
But the biggest problem with the game was it was boring. Predictable story, less engaging gameplay than the first and completely flat characters. One might argue tht the point of the game was to go out and blow things up with stinger missiles you bought from the russian maffia, yes that's true but the first game was as well and it managed to have an engaging story as well.
I got stuck in one of those "be stealthy" missions. What I loved about the first game was how impersonal the story was to the character - you really were just some random mercenary picking up jobs at your convenience, and that was about it. It felt appropriate to be the guy who just does his job however he pleases (big emphasis on HOWEVER) and whose only motivation is money (you know, like an actual mercenary). The second game made it personal by turning the story into a goofy revenge plot and being exceedingly constricting about HOW you get your missions done. One wrong step and boom goes the AI. The first game was too much damn fun, it really was a "playground". Second game was dumber, glitchier and more boring, but above all, turned the proverbial playground into a linear corridor framed with crap AI. A real shame.

Alright, I'll throw out a few of these:

Everything is terrible in a basement.

Psychic acrobat with goggles saves day.

Gandhi has completed the manhattan project.

World's greatest war themed hat simulator.

Tiny carrot people die for survival.

Tiny carrot people die for Capitalism.

Pokemon was awesome on the gamecube.
So, Editing out the ones I don't know..

Binding of Isaac?

Psychonauts, that one was easy

Civilization, because the disparity between the world leaders' historical personalities and their in-game personalities is well documented

Team Fortress 2 (hat simulator joke gives it away every time)

Pikmin 1

Pikmin 2

Pokemon Coliseum?

No more heroes?

The sims

Killing Floor? (can't remember any other 6 player co-op survival games)

And well, this could go for quite a lot of games really, but since opinions vary, its difficult to pin one down.

Dead Space? Either of them. :p Or it could be Antichamber, I guess.

- So much loot, so little time.
Borderlands 2, Torchlight 2 or Diablo 3.

- Dig Dig Fight Wall of Flesh.
Terraria.

Mine:
Ink, guns and too many herbal drugs.
Right on all accounts except the second one, though both work in a sense. I was actually going with SSX Tricky.

Gonna guess Okami for yours.
Ah! Never heard of that game, sadly.

And sorry. I was thinking of Far Cry 3. Although Okami could work, too! :D

I gave you half points LoL because that description actually could probably apply to any game in the genre, but "heroes" would preferably have marked it as DotA. Also, God Hand is in that list, but you attached it to the wrong description.

Okay, I think I need to do some more here...

Human sector. No mouth. BUGS BUGS!

DOUBLE CLUE: We meat the customer...and our spew is your brew.

A summer camp of mind-takers.

She was crazy long before Glados.

The quietest scientist in the world.

The man who arranges the blocks.

Play the game, beat the virus.

A giant robot building MORE robots.

I am the true evolution, human.

Kill the zombies with a typewriter!

Climbing and herding in a nightmare.

Reboot the world as a demon.

A detective story that involves Terminators.

Jump, crunch, plunk, flower, fire, dead.

All this fighting to find Fred.

Eat everything and spit it out.

Your head explodes, but that's okay.

Demon killing expressed in one word.

@Dot: Portal. Maybe AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!!, but I'm leaning toward Portal.

@Glen: I'm thinking Plants vs. Zombies.

@Bazaal: Four is definitely Orcs and Men.

"Survivors cause property damage to escape."
#4 is correct!

Nein.

1. Hitman?
No idea about the rest.
Oooh, that actually does work. I was thinking of a different one though. Perhaps I should change "Man" to "Monster" but that might make it too easy.

Got another few:
5. Breath of life wields the elements.
6. Like Pikmin, but with extra evil!
7. The original puzzle on an island.

@bazaalmon

Easy. Slenderman or whatever the game is actually called.

6 - Overlord
7 - Monkey Island?

Still waiting for mine =D

"Exiles don't like genocidal home invaders"

I may have made it too difficult,
Space is definitely the setting to be looking at though.

#7 is correct! I would have also accepted Myst.

Is yours perhaps Exile, the 1988 video game for the atari?
or Starcraft somehow?
or the original Space Invaders?

Can I get another hint? Which decade was this game released in?

Very late 90's. Licence belongs to a company that just went bust. This is one of the licenses that was NOT sold.

I'm guessing 1) could be Portal or Quantum Conundrum? And 4) is clearly Mirror's Edge. 2) Not sure, some swing at EA.

Both right on number 4, on the right track with number 1, but think even crazier, and shockingly, #2 was NOT published by EA. Bazaalmon's on the right track though.

Keep thinking! The description of number one could also be: Perspective and non-euclidean thinking are key.

Antichamber? I've never actually played it but it sounds fitting.
