Actually, it shows a small, carefully selected group can be made to poll any way you like if you make the questions loaded.Mornelithe said:This poll clearly shows once again, parents giving more control to the government, because they refuse to be parents. Grow up, it's not the government, or societies job to make sure your kids acquiesce to your rules. That's your job.
Exactly this, this is the whole problem right there, instead of banning violent video games there should be a mandatory "parent school" or something to that effect for ANYONE who thinks that video games are just a babysitter or distraction so they don't have to do anything themselves.Mornelithe said:This poll clearly shows once again, parents giving more control to the government, because they refuse to be parents. Singularly Datarific said:Well, it is THE PLAYER'S CHOICE TO DO SO IN THESE GAMES. THEY DECIDED WHAT TO DO.
Besides, beating up people is NOT my idea of Ultraviolent. It's brutal, but I was expecting them to show more gory games.
Again, ANY VIOLENCE IN A GAME IS UP TO THE PLAYER TO COMMIT. THEY ARE NOT FORCED TO DO SO. With certain exceptions, such as. Also, just be a better parent, instead of expecting the government to be the parents.bioshock
oh it effects you.VanityGirl said:Doesn't effect me. Yay adulthood!
But, for you minors, this would be dreadful news. While I do think that many game retailers should enforce carding rules, especially for 13 year olds trying to buy ManhuntP), I think making it a law is a bit extreme.
What would they consider to be a minor? 16? 18? 21?
I do also think it's the responsibility of the parent to watch what their kids buy/watch, that's why I think making this a law is a bit unecessary.
