8 Games You Can Still Look Forward to Playing This Year

No X-Com 2? For me at least, that's really the only game for the rest of the year that I'm in "I need a time machine to get this game now" mode.

Shame that XCOM 3 didn't make the list. That's a game that I absolutely have to experience.

But I am a bit bothered by the lack of a release date. It's almost November, Firaxis. Gimmie a date so I can put in my leave request at work!

Seriously, Battlefront? It has no single player, of course it's going to suck.

Oh god! I have to thank you! I had blindly preordered this without checking, just because I liked the previous games, and liked the screenshots. As someone who is in the military and travels a lot, rarely has access to internet good enough to game, and plays games for personal challenge and story I nearly wasted £49 on listening to whiney pre-pubescent tossers screaming out of my telly about 'TeH LiTsAbRzz!!1!'.

So... Thank you so much! Pre-order cancelled! Reinvest to: Dishonoured 2 and the Uncharted trilogy re-release (I am returning to the PlayStation world for the first time since 2!)

They all look really... standard. Hell, the 3D games look like they all use the same engine, no style what-so-ever.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is such a lazy name, I really hope there's an option to remove the shadows in the Mario Maker, and Battle Front won't surprise me if it comes out buggy as hell.

It was only the lack of a solid release date that kept XCOM 2 off this list.

I thought they had already said it was coming out in November, they just hadn't given a 100% specific day?
