Well sorry to say but there won't be an improvement for Afro Samurai 2.
Because if I remember correctly Afro Samurai 2 has been cancelled and refunded.

Dornedas is correct. Afro Samurai 2 had also been recalled. With full refund for anyone who bought it.

Which is a much better response than WB cynically re-releasing Arkham Knight as a 'new' release on Steam three (?) times now with a still broken game.

I would say The Order was the only real disappointment, because no one should have had high hopes for the others. I mean who actually thoughts Godzilla or Alone in the Dark would be any good?! Because if so, PM me. I have a bridge to sell you.

...and Batman...yeah it sucks, but anyone remember the last release? Origins? Wasn't exactly a door buster.

And The Order was only disappointing because it lied in its gameplay trailers what with the Werewolves and the implications of a story longer than it takes to boil an egg. If you went in to it thinking it'll be a mediocre shooter with above-average brown/grey environments and the literal occasional werewolf, all for the combined price of $60 + a new console and your immortal soul, I'm sure it wasn't disappointing at all.

I'm surprised Metal Gear Solid V didn't make the cut. I mean say what you will about it being a halfway decent game in its own right, but it was still a massive disappointment, or how Star Wars Battlefront was given hopes and they came crashing down with a terrible game that wasn't even as good as a Battlefield reskin would have been. Which is worst, a game with no expectations being terrible or a game with high expectations being "meh"?

Oh glob! Now, I'm reminded about Afro Samurai 2 again! *repressed memories returning* My biggest gaming disappointment of 2015!

Other than that, my friend was so disappointed about the Godzilla game that he didn't even want to buy a PS4... :p

Despite liking, and playing Fallout 4 a lot, I was disappointed with it. The physical disc only installed 5gb of data leaving a 19gb download. Anyone who bought the physical copies of Arkham Knight and MGS5, and were hoping to spare their limited internet service, were also doubtlessly disappointed.

Hatred just goes to show you that pre-launch "controversy" adds to sales as opposed to taking away from them. This is a marketing fact that has been proven multiple times over. If your game contains controversial subject material and you get people talking about said controversial material before it launches, more people will buy your game to see what all the fuss is about...and then scratch their heads and wonder how anyone could get worked up over such a crappy game in the first place.

Maybe I'm lucky, but... besides it quitting to desktop once, and some brief minor framerate drops, Batman Arkham Knight PC has behaved very well on my PC throughout a complete 30 hour playthrough. Then again, I waited until a few weeks after it returned to Steam, so... shrugs.

I also plain loved the game (yes, even the Batmobile - once I'd convinced Lucius to make it out of something other than papier mache).

I believe Pillars of Eternity deserves a spot on that list.

Massive kickstarter+hype around it, more so then quite a few nominations on the list, it was meant to be the new baldurs gate+ obsidians masterpiece and utterly failed in every department save for visuals.

The true tragedy of the story being that despite being a mediocre game it went on to be stupidly successful enough that a sequel is in the works, meanwhile the actual best CRPG of the year, Age of Decadence, went completely underneath people's radar due to PoE's hype.

So yeh, PoE deserves a spot both for failing critically in its goals yet still achieving success, all the whilst cockblocking a more deserving game from reaching mainstream success.

For me, personally, this goes to Fallout 4. I installed the game 3 times thus far, and the furthest I got before uninstalling in frustration was 10 hours in. There is pretty much nothing I like about that game. The interface is like pulling teeth, visual style is boring, writing is terrible, pacing is shit (seriously, power armor and a deathclaw fight right at the start? who thought that was a good idea?), crafting is tedious, settlement building is just terribly implemented. I couldn't find a single thing about the game that I enjoyed. I loved both the original games and F3/NV, but this was just awful... I know, quite a few people disagree with me here and I respect that. But I just can't bear FO4.

I would like to list the latest Heroes of Might & Magic game here, but I honestly wasn't expecting much since the last one was such a mess. What did surprise me was that this one was a mess in completely new ways - instead of it being an inherently interesting and well presented game brought down by a few shoddy mechanics and a terrible forced online component, this one was unburdened by the online crap, but was instead simply a crappy game overall.

Another nod would be to Age of Decadence. I kept an eye on this over the years, hoping it might turn out good. And you know what, maybe it did. I just couldn't bear to wade through the atrocious presentation, horrid visuals (CAN you make a game more brown?) and most of all, the clunky, horrendous interface. I'm blaming this on my age - as I grow older I'm less inclined to wade through such a mucky exterior to maybe find a diamond inside.

I feel like it's a bit dishonest to say that Hatred was disappointing; I mean, did anyone expect anything from that game?
