This, my friends is Darwinism at it's best. All right you little shit, if you wanna feel sorry for yourself and eat yogurt..go ahead...and nature will do the rest.
I really have to agree with you there.

That's partially her fault for letting fear take over her life. Her parents could have sat her down and told her why her fear was irrational, and then gone to a different dentist.]
Sad and preventable.

The hospital is at fault legally because they did a procedure without permission, but seriously, this case is too fucked up to place the blame on anyone but a paranoid 8-year-old idiot. By 8 years old, one would think you understand that not eating equals death.

Anyone wanna go watch The Dentist?
Finally, a sane person.

Just because my adenoidectomy lasted 2,5 hours instead of 20 minutes doesn't mean I must hate people that did the operation.

Because it wasn't their fault. They could do it in 20 minutes, but I would probably die after a month due to complications and pus behind my tonsils.

So why didn't they just knock her out and perform dental surgery when she was 'out'. She'd wake up without going to the dentist then....

I mean, tranq her...then take her in...done deal.

This makes no sense when a simple solution just seems to obvious.

Haha I'm happy that I didn't have all my kiddy teeth removed in one go...

Who the fuck does that anyways? I remember slowly (and mostly by myself) removing the weakened my kiddy teeth and finishing up when I was about 12 or 13 O_O

I'm gonna blame the dentist. And the parents.
Why blame the parents? They took her to the hospital after she wouldn't go to the dentist. The hospital removed the girls teeth then told the parents that the girl could live on watermelon. If they can't believe a doctor, what can they believe?
Blame the parents because they did MAKE the girl go to the dentist sooner, which would have eliminated the problem which caused this debacle
So you won't take your kids to the dentist just in case you alienate then? They were doing what parents do. You take your kids to the dentist when they crack a tooth, when they get sick, you take them to the doctor. They weren't be negligent.

Strange case no doubt. But I'm really surprised at some of you. An eight year old can hardly be held responsible for their own well-being. It's on the community and the parents to protect them. Twelve would even be a stretch, but eight? Not her fault by any stretch. Very sad case.

I have to fix a typo. Place blame on the parents for NOT taking her to the dentist. That where people go to get dental problems fixed. The kid doesn't know what's best for her, she's 8, so who gives 2 shits what she wants? As a parent you do what's best for her not what she WANTS. She would have never had to go to the hospital if she had been taken to a dentist earlier.
