The problem is they basically only log the name of the person. So every person who shares the same name- which is statistically, quite a few for even a single name- are automatically on the "no-fly" or whatever list. Hell, my dad (Richard last-name-not-getting-said) shares the same name as someone on a registered sex offender list, and he had to shout at the people at my old elementary school to be allowed to pick up my brother and sister one day. The person finally looked in the database and said "no picture, nothing really but the name".

So there you go, the United States is fucking stupid, because in 300 million people, any name aside from the random gibberish you make on your keyboard when punching it is guaranteed to be shared by other people.

It does seem like a mistake, but this isn't entierly uncommon. Aparently a man taught his 10 year old son to steal because he wouldn't be as much of a suspect as an adult. This case seems like a mixup somehow, and america's security is becoming ridiculous. Glad I don't live there and need to get out.
