A Breaking World ((Chapter 2: An Enlightened Path))

<spoiler=OOC>Yeah... I go do stuff for one day, and I have to fight off several attacks... Even one that is physically impossible.

Venom, I am currently lying on my back on the ground, so I am just going to assume you can just say stomach or chest.

Aknar kept trying to fight them off, but it seemed useless. His arm had been broken, he had dropped his sword, he could feel the magic wearing off and still had people slashing at him. He knew he was going to die here. "If I am going to die, I will at least take you with me!" he shouted before starting a chant, he chanted so quickly no-one had any time to stop him.

He finished the chant as the light fled from his eyes, but he was still able to say one final word. "Meteor..." was all he got out before his head dropping to the ground.

The sky instantly turned Red, an unnatural Red. The earth began to shake and the temperature increased dramatically. The sky was split in half with a large Meteor flying from the sky towards The small town.

All bloodlust left Chreos as he saw the life slip out of Aknar, he felt numb as he grabbed the demons sword off the ground "heh, consider us even" he said as he looked to the sky, noticing a monstruous red glow fill the the heavens. His eyes widened in fear as he shouted out a warning to the others "run you fools, he has cast a final attack!" He began to run as fast as his tired and battered body would allow him to, trying to escape from the scene while clutching his new trophy.

Jason heard Chreos yell, Jason turned on the spot, sprinting away from the dead demon and the glowing red sky. The noise the meteor made as it came crashing through the ozone was tremendous, but Jason didn't turn around to see what happened. He knew running was pointless, the impact from the meteor would destroy most of the surrounding area, but the didn't want to die for good this early in the journey.

 

[One Seven One]

As he made it to his fallen comrade, Everett, Repel looked up at the sky at the meteor "Habe mercy..." He muttered before he realising that he needs to run.

He picked up Everett and the unconcious girl, he picked them up on his shoulders and ran as fast as he could away from the falling meteor.

Oi, I must be out of shape.

NorthernWind stepped back and snarled, putting a boot on the demon's throat; squeezing down on it. He looked up at the metor.
"Anyone got magic to deflect this thing, or atleast, steer it away from us?"
He caught his breath and began to feel the combat fatigue catch up to him. I don't got anything left to run with.

He limped off, "Alright, can some please help? I can't feel my left leg, and my hips are burnt. I mean..." he stopped, his leg was wet and dripping, he assumed and hoped it was blood. "...Help! Medic!"

Jason turned when North called, he wouldn't leave anyone to die no matter how little he trusted them. Jason sprinted back, helping North limp away from the demon's body.

"I would let you bandage yourself up but something tells me we don't have time for that." Jason said, looking down at North's bloody leg.

 

[One Seven One]

Repel looked up at the sky and realized that running wasn't going to help, he was already out of the small town and away from the meteor but the blast from the meteor would be fatal.

He didn't have much time to think so he went with the plan that came to mind first, using the rest of his energy he conjured a large stone wall, he propped the two bodies against the wall and hoped for the best.

Chreos looked over his shoulder to check on the others, Repel had Everett and the girl with him so they were set, but then he noticed Jason and North struggling away from the crash site. North's hurt, Jason's helping but both of them wont make it in time he began to double back but his injuries from the demon began to catch up with him. He was covered in burns of varying intensity and the flaming spit almost completley burned through his cheek, exposing his sharp teeth. Every movement now hurt him, and he felt hollow now that all of the adrenaline was fading.

I wish you two the best of luck he thought to himself as he kept limping along I would only slow you down more than you need

Repel looked behind the wall to check on the meteor, he noticed Jason and North, North looked hurt and it didn't look like they were making much progress.

"I barely got hurt at all, I can still help." He thought, as he ran back to help them.

Evela's eyes widened at the Large piece of Rock falling towards the Planet. "Dammit..." he said as he took out his blade. "Everyone gather in!" he yelled as loud as he could, trying to gather everyone together, "Quickly now! I am not gonna rescue you all again!"

Muhnat looked back at the Dead Demon on the ground, before running over to Evela, he knew he could not outrun a Meteor, so he just decided to trust the other Demon.

"Oh no." Gasped Alicia as she stopped dead in her tracks, gawking at the massive object that was slowly but surely heading towards them. Before she even reached the demon, he already been slain much to her dismay but his final spell was too terrifying for her to even care about that. Her senses kicked in and she immediately bolted back towards Evela, hoping he was going to do something that could save there hides but took notice of the unconscious Everret. Alicia was tempted to leave him behind, but seeing as she was the closest to him...

Stupid, stupid, stupid me! She thought and cursed to herself before rushing to Everret's side. Alicia pulled him up by his arm and turned around,leaneing him against her back with great effort.

"Damn, you're heavy, or I'm just really weak!" The smaller framed girl dragged him as quickly as possible to the supposedly good demon.

Tom shadow, has been away and is back now. He may not post, or he may.

Everett felt movement under him. He oppened his eyes and noticed that he was moving. He looked around and saw alicia carrying him.

"What's going on? Is aknar dead? Where are we going?" Everett was very confused. He wanted to let go of alicia, but he knew he didn't have enough strength.
"Why didn't you just leave me behind, alicia?"

"Waaay too many questions pal, and definitely not much time! Especially when our dooms is right above us!"

she responded towards the now awaken Everett. Her back was starting to hurt and she was tempted to just drop him since he was awake. That would of made her progress Evela much quicker.Instead, Alicia decided not too as he was most likely still weak and simply quickened her pace, regretting to help him even more.

Chreos managed to stumble his way back to the forest where they originally came in from, he didnt hear Evela's message to gather around him and if he did he didnt have the energy to make it back. He fell to the ground , almost all energy was sapped from him. He began to drag himself along and fell into a ditch as his world went black...

Like I said in the group, I have to head out for a few day's starting tomorrow so this is just me writing myself out for the moment.

"What's above us?What the hell is happening?" Everett hated it when people didn't answer his questions.

 

[Shanaar]

"This day just keeps getting beter and beter" Running towards the body of the demon, Laurence pulled out his dagger. "I said I wanted my dagger back" Looking around, he heard the call of Evela. Running towards him, Laurence noted Alicia struggeling. Running instead towards her, he asked "Need a hand?"

"Alright, we need to hurry over to Evela! He might be our only chance." Jason said, trying to help North while still keeping an eye on the sky. He wasn't about to die here, not this soon!

He saw the meteor falling faster and faster as it broke through the ozone, he saw the clouds begin to dissipate as the heat made the water in the clouds evaporate. Jason thought he could faintly see the bottom of an enormous meteor, but it might have been part of his imagination.

NorthernWind gave everything he could into limping. "Aye, going as fast as I can."

 

[Sliverwings]

Kyu-Ya casually walked over to his sword that he tossed aside and strapped it back to his hip. He turned back to his comrades and crossed his arms, he wanted to make himself useful but he wasn't sure where to start. He ignored the rising heat and the meteor to think over what he should do.

"Fuck it." He mumbled to himself and jogged beside North and Jason, "Need some help?"

The snake looked over to See Chreos passed out, it moved over to him, then picked him, dragging him quickly over to Evela, it then went around and moved Kyu-Ya, North, Everett, Alicia and the unconscious woman all the help they needed.

Evela had ignored everyone, and had started a chant. The chant was very Rhythmic and hypnotic if you paid close enough attention to it. His hands started to glow as a energy began to be released from them, the energy seeped out like a very fine white mist on glass, and radiated from his hands, covering the now fully assembled group.

Inside the fine mist, it seemed eerily calm, nothing could be felt, it was like purgatory all over again. The only thing that was heard was Evela still rhythmic chant. His eyes had began to white over, his arms had become a shining beacon of light. He moved his hands in a fluid motion straight towards the ground. As his hands moved down, small orange sparks leaped from his hands, making tiny electric arcs around his arm, occasionally hitting one in the group or the ground.

When his hands hit the ground, it disappeared. The floor was now gone, instead replaced by a large black hole in the ground. The floor began to pull them in, it looked the same as in the town when they were sucked into Purgatory, but it felt completely different. While the last one radiated evil, this one felt oddly calming, almost willing you to jump into it. Without a thought, Evela pushed everyone through the rift.

They appeared as the sun was setting, back in a deep forest, surrounded by nothing but trees. A few small animals scampered off as the sky gained a large black hole in reality. The group all fell from there, into the soft grass below.

As they all hit the ground, the rift closed, blocking the heat from the village. The trees around them bent down, and hit them all. The Meteor had hit the ground and was sending its shock-waves through the town and surrounding area.
