First off, I loved the first one. My vote for GOTY and the only good Batman title (actually, spectacular, but still the only playable batman title) ever to be released for any console ever.
While I do not question that Batman: Arkham Asylum was spectacular, I am starting to be annoyed when people call it "the only good Batman title". Certainly, there haven't been any good Batman titles in years, but Sunsoft had SEVERAL great Batman games for both the Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy. They probably seem simple now, but at the time they were quite a bit more fun and sophisticated than even the Ninja Gaiden series, at least in my own humble opinion. They were certainly "good" if not "great".
The old NES, Genesis, Gameboy, and Super Nintendo Batmen games were all generic, booring side scrollers that did not capture the batman essence. Many were tied in with a movie release and were batman games in graphics only. None of them captured the Batman experience like AA did.

Also, it might be the Joker again because hes the synonimous villain, if I recall, he was the first ever enemy Batman had, if im wrong can a nerd correct me :p
Nope, Batman's first recurring enemy was Hugo Strange.

Or if they don't get over-ambitious like Obsidian did with Star Wars Kotor 2, but that's another story and the chances of a similar scenario playing out with a big name brand like Batman is almost nill!
I highlighted the flaw in your logic for you.

I do have faith in this game, though. The first was the best game this year for me, so I think Rocksteady will do a good job on the sequel. I would like to have a new setting or something, though.

Also, Two-Face seems to be confirmed. The Uncle Sam on the website has half of his face torn from the poster and seems to have Two-Face's scarring (part of the neck is visible). I think he's also wearing the Two-Face suit. Yay.

Just bought the first off ebay for £12, so thatll be here in a few days, shall see if your rant is justified.

Catwoman, but i see why you would think the joker was.

EDIT: before you nerd rage on my wrongness, Doctor Death was actually the first, while Joker and Catwoman were introduced in the same issue after Detective comics introduced Batman. my mistake, im sorry.
