It's not like he REALLY traded a car for a 360. He gave them his car, and they were like "Well we got to give you SOMETHING for it... okay here's this Xbox my wife wants to get rid of :\ (thanks alot Honey).

PC Gamers aren't viewed the same as Xbox 360, the guys that savagely defend the Xbox 360 are not going to defend the PC or Windows. As far as they're concerned, both can die so more focus is brought on the Xbox 360. In fact, they're more than likely to insult it... I don't understand why, then again, if I did I'd be one of them.
And as for my defense in my claim. Take a look at his Kinect thread. The guy attacked anything that could be viewed as defending Nintendo or anything that spoke badly about the Kinect. He even brought up points that were irrelevant, like Nintendo ripping off its customers. Last I checked that wasn't what the thread was about, it was about whether or not the Kinect can damage the Wii's success. I answered the question and corrected my statement when I was corrected by another user in regards to compatibility - I still for the life of me can't figure out where I even thought that - and one that was polite about it.
Then he went to say that Microsoft are geniuses for waiting around and seeing what their competition does before making something and then blowing them out of the water. I cite the failure rate of the Xbox 360, the unsuccessful launch of the Zune - though it is good on its own merits - and this Kinect. Though it is too early to call on the Kinect being a failure, but signs are pointing it won't have the effect that Microsoft thinks it will.
Shame too, the technology has such potential... if only they waited a few more years and launched it with "Black and White 3".

Maybe I'm missing something but the OP never said that he didn't have another means of transportation. Also the car is 8 years old, and nothing was said about it's condition other than it pesumably runs. Locally you'd be lucky to get a couple thousand dollars on that trade in if it was in good shape, and you definatly wouldn't walk out with cash.
If I had another vehicle, or access to one I was using regularly and could rely on, I might very well trade an old car for something like that, or simply give it away to a relative who needed it badly.

So far I think most of us here have agreed that he's a fanboy trying to create some free publicity for Microsoft's new Xbox 360 and Kinect. Considering his other thread and behavior during it and that we really didn't need to hear this story of how he got the Xbox 360 nor do I think many of us care it warrants a thread on how "great" it is.Therumancer said:
