So this is a bit of a rant on what I've noticed about some game reviewers and their fans.
One thing is that viewers of game reviews, and I don't notice this much in movie reviews, but the fans of the reviewers tend to believe the review or score is a judgement of it, if this is a 5 point system then a game getting a 3 or sometimes a 4 out of 5 means the game is god-awful and the reviewer is telling people to avoid it. Another thing is that game reviewers' fans seem to think that the reviewer saying "This is a good game" means the person who bought it gets a pat on the head for making a good purchase, I don't see it as that and I believe they don't want you to see it like that. Game reviews are for people who haven't picked up a game and are more on the fence about picking it up.
Another thing I've noticed is that fans will wildly and blindly follow a reviews views (ie. not the game or bad things inside the gaming world). As some people know I'm somewhat a fan of TB's videos and Jessy Cox at OMFG, but with more of TB he points out things that are wrong with PC games and with their console counterparts, and his fan are extremely hating of console players who watch his videos. I know some games were made with consoles in mind, but I simply hate it when PC players blame the console players for something the developers should have fixed. A example of this is Skyrim: with getting to Items, Magic, Map and Skills you have to deal with an interface that was more easy on consoles or gamepads in general. This tool was clearly meant for Xbox and PS3 but most PC players seem to want to burn them for something Bethesda should have fixed.
Well, I've rambled on long enough and seeing as how I'm donating this wall of text to the forums I'll take my leave now. Please leave a comment and your 2 cents.
Edit: thank you to the person who helped fix this i do appreciate help from time to time and all the people who really commented on the this
