Right here. [http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2011/05/11/report-new-skyrim-details-surface.aspx]

One in particaular-

In addition to the five major cities, there will be eight or nine smaller settlements to visit
I know a lot of people who were all "ZOMG ONLY FIVE CITIES ITS SOOOO DUMBED DOWN". Well now you know, not just five cities.

11/11/11. Can't wait. Especially for 11:11. Most epic wish ever.

Does anyone know if the cities will be contained in their own cells, like oblivion, or rendered with the rest of the overworld, like morrowind?

Does it matter? I'm sure they'll be mods to make them whichever way you prefer

I'm guessing contained. But there'll most likely be a mod released that'll put them in the world like Morrowind.

In my asking the question you can be pretty certain that it matters to at least one person... I will be playing it on console so the potential existence of mods to integrate the cities doesn't benefit me.

Judging by some of the sweeping shots in the trailer, some towns will definitely be a part of the main world.

One in particular: "The map is 3D, but you can't make notes on it"
What the hell..? It's such a simple feature but it makes a huge difference, I hate having to constantly switch into my map to see where to go. Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, and New Vegas all had it and it worked well, why would Skyrim ditch such a simple but important feature... The rest sounds good but this is quite disappointing...

The major cities will be contained within their own cell but the smaller settlements will be fully open.

I'd find you the interview where I got the info from but it's on some obscure German site and I got IP banned from the bethesda forums so I can't find it.

Even thirteen or fourteen is a pretty low number...better be a lot of side-quests obtainable outside of towns/cities.
Fallout 3 and Oblivion had around the same number, I'd much rather have quality over quantity to be honest.

Morrowind only had 2-4 large cities (depending on your definition of "large") as I recall, but a buttload of small towns.

I kinda liked the feel of that better, the villages in oblivion were often linked to a single quest and just didn't have the same "feel."

I'm not sure what you mean by "quality" in this case. Neither Oblivion nor Fallout 3 had many particularly memorable cities/towns.
Really? Ten Penny, Megaton, Rivet city.... oh, maybe you meant just Oblivion

I'm a bit ashamed to admit that the title of the thread made me click it like I was an addict and the topic was an illicit substance, but yeah.

I'm already overhyped. In fact, I've been overhyped since the announcement teaser.

Anyway, I'm very satisfied with these news. I'm a guy who enjoys small details in the larger scenery. Things like water ripples in wind, dynamic weather, economic system and children NPCs make me feel like this is a game where I will completely immerse myself and have a bloody good time for months.

I can't wait until we can have both. I don't mind waiting a year or two more if the game is going to be really good. Programmers need time to create and we need to learn to be patient.

Details I actually care about in Skyrim: Are they going to at least TRY to get the major bugs ironed out before release. Seriously Bethesda I know you can't get it perfect straight away especially in a game as big as yours, but November and December do not count as beta testing.
