A Game for Friends

Heyall, I've been thinking lately about a lot of games, that I cant honestly see a reason why they shouldnt have some sort of multiplayer ability.

Is there a single player game you think the awesome factor would rise 100% on with multiplayer? Why stop there? Maybe extend it to Massive, and go Online?

I mean, some obvious ones come to mind, like The Elder Scrolls games, but what else could you think of that would make good multiplayer?

Bioshock would be pretty fun with multiplayer.

Other than that, I can't think of any. Super Smash Bros is still the best party game I've played.

Well if the PS3 can actually get that M.A.G. game to work, the multiplayer game that can supposedly support 256 players at once, that would be a good game to play with your friends; and if they do get it to work, that might be the last straw to make me get a PS3 to sit next to my 360.

Any JRPG like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean, or Tales Of series would be awesome fun with some sort of co-op. Up the enemy difficulty a good bit to still make it challenging and that would just be plain awesome. It might feel like playing an offline MMO but still, it would be a fun little twist for those games. I'm sorta glad FF13 Agito is actually taking that approach, boosts the strategy and fun factor of those game up even greater if you make the enemies hard enough to actually encourage group strategy.

Mass Effect would also be better with co-op, because as we all know, your team mates are FUCKING STUPID. Funny though as they got slightly smarter towards the end of the game...but I still hate you Garrus, QUIT FUCKING DYING!!!

i think fallout 3 would be fun with multiplayer, imagine it, two/four players going in to a town and firing their mirvs in to the sky and running.

I agree about mass effect, I had also even heard something about some online play for mass effect. I could be wrong, but I swear I heard it... somewhere.. Two things, waiting for a group that big is not gonna be fun. Secondly, in theory you can get that many players on without to much lag. I think that they won't all be in the same area of the battlefield and if you cluster up then lag will kill every single one of you with a hammer to the face.

Assassins Creed would be interesting, maybe everyone but one guy as Assassins, the one guy has to run, the others have to race to kill him. Actually, that sounds fantastic.

Fable is begging for a correct way to do multiplayer. Fable 2 was a step in the right direction, but it still needs to get rid of some massive problems.

Baldur's Gate series is primarily singleplayer. But, if you ever get the chance and find someone WILLING to play the games with you in multiplayer, jump at the chance. It skips over awesome and goes directly to orgasmic.

Are you kidding? What made Bioshock good was the literary aspect of it, but when you go online, in almost every match you're going to have some retard on the other end screaming into his headset. That kind of thing would ruin the atmosphere of it.

BTW: It has been confirmed that Bioshock 2 will have multiplayer.
